Oh, please
by Cruikshank

What a self-serving article. Mundy is shocked, shocked that a presidential campaign would control press access to a candidate's spouse when they are faced with a well-oiled, well-funded utterly unethical attack machine.

Yeah, it completely follows that an Obama presidency will be Bush-like in its determination to hide information.

Quick tip, Liza: You're not that important.

Cruikshank. A person that claims to be truly open would not try to hide from the past of his wife. The reality is either they are hiding something bad that his wife did, or he just plain doesn't really believe in openness at all. Either way, it raises the red flag. Choose to ignore it if you want, but don't bitch when people are mocking you for your stupidity like they mock Bush supporters now. Come to think of it, Bushies and Obama zombies are a lot alike. They both ignore facts, and believe their guy can't do anything wrong.

"Lelyveld replied that they were very busy and said they didn't think there was enough time to do a good book before the election." Sounds fair enough to me.

What's the incentive in actively participating in a rush-job book by someone they'd never heard of before? They probably have ten people a month asking for exactly the same favors.
