Does John McCain "LOVE AMERICA?"
by Seasoldier

<link>

Seasoldier/What John is really saying, if you think about it is, "...I'll kill for America but to hell with the CONSTITUTION!" In other words, like many of us we were driven to military duty not by a whip but by the fear of a shovel. Once there, we had our opinions erased and acted as one AGGRESSOR without having proper knowledge of the reason we were there let alone any significant historical facts. Sure we were trained as "KILLERS" but if those in the military recall we were always taught right from wrong. In other words, like John mentions he really didn't have any "...love for America," why? Because, that comes only after sacrifice. Sacrifice from A distant ship with good meals is totally different than laying in rain filled holes month after month where the mosquito was more of an enemy than the VC.

after sever months of better than average treatment at release.

Yes, you're that wrong.

Prince; that would be a descent name for a dog, but McCain's treatment was far worse than anyone would treat a dog.

To dismiss what he really did in the service of the USA, is very small of you... well you and the party you voted for.

Wasted time with you; you already said you voted Democrat..

come help get a negro elected (change). That's his only qualification so far, his color. At the same time his supporters are crying if he isn't elected its only because America is still racist. You guys make descent, ordinary people sick.

What about his "SPECIAL MEDICAL CARE" and others imprisoned before and after him.

Gee TB, you make it sound like he was water-boarded day and night. What about those thirty some odd Jane Fonda--like admissions he was a "WAR CRIMINAL?"

who his father and grandfather were so they figured he was worth keeping around.

Considering 5.5 years later he weighed 110 pounds and could barely walk, I wouldn't suggest his medical care was anything more than what was needed to keep him alive.

would you, or would you not, trade your experiences in Viet Nam with McCain's?

SS. WHERE in Hell did you come up with a stupid idea like that?? Moveon?? Democrat underground?? Where??

Re: And you didn't answer my question,

All I know is what we heard on radio while in country. At the time we treated those captured as lost and expected them to do what was right as we were all trained to do.

I recall POW TRAINING at Las Pulgas Camp Pendleton. Being captured was one a NO-NO! Number two, if we found ourselves captured we were not to AID & ABED THE ENEMY FOR SPECIAL FAVORS less we return to a DISHORNOABLE DISCHARGE with possible FIRING SQUAD ramifications!

Trading experiences with McCain is not a valid question because he did not honor his committment as a Naval Officer, and since I too, was in a Department of the Navy, I expected him to do as trained. Other than that I think he is dishonest and you know I could go on from there.

Seasoldier/You have to face the same circumstances and unfortunately cannot trade like McCain did.

No, that came from reality!
