I personally don't think Obama has anything to apologize for. What is he supposed to have done? Work with a respected member of his community to help distribute millions of dollars to school projects all over Chicago? Gone to a house party thrown by some guy named Ayers who is a respected member of his community?

This seems to be another despicable, irresponsible, outright low-ball, dirty polical attack against Barack Obama coming from the McCain campaign. Barack Obama confronted this issue, and put it to bed during one of the last few debates between Hillary and himself in the primaries. Barack Obama said then: Ayers was a guy who lived in his neighborhood, was a professor of constitutional law, and was a professor of English at the University of Chicago. He said that he served on a charity board with him. He said that Ayers contributed 250 dollars to his campaign. He denounced Ayers actions of the 1960's. Barack Obama said that Ayer's does not speak for him or his campaign. Barack mentioned that he was 8 when these events took place. Ayer's is a respected member of his community now. I think that the subject should not be: Oh gee, is Senator Obama a terrorist too? Which is the implication in these ads and on Palin's stump speeches, but perhaps the subject should be...Do we really think that people can't change? That people can be both good and bad?

Why should Barack Obama know from the moment he met Ayers who the heck he was? Would I know who he was if I was in the same room with him and heard his name? Even then I might not make the connection. Course now with all the publicity its not Obama that is being hurt, but all of the Ayer's family for these attack ads. I'm sure the guy will probably have to be careful that some crazy McCain loon doesn't try to kill him. McCain is being irresponsible with these attacks. And I just hope it doesn't end up being his biggest regret. What happened to the Straight Talk Express? How can the man even look himself in they eye. And why is Palin destroying her political career everytime she opens her mouth with this crap?
