So THIS Is What Community Organizers Do!

Actively engage in widespread and blatant voter fraud and when they get caught, blame it on racism. Looks like ACORN's former attorney, Barack Obama, taught them well.

I read an article about ACORN bussing homeless to vote.

Implicit in the article was the idea that the homeless should not vote.

Or maybe the problem was that ACORN was bussing them to vote.

Or maybe the problem was that they cleaned them up.

I suppose a clean up and a bus ride could count as bribery.

Maybe they didn't know how to read and the volunteers signed them in.

At what point does this become illegal, holding the hand of someone incapable and (for all intents and purposes) directing their vote.

At what point does it became suppression of the legal right of an American citizen to vote to deny them?

Not everyone should vote. If people can't figure out how to register without having their hands held, they don't deserve a ballot. I think it's pretty clear that ACORN is not about increasing turnout, they are about increasing turnout for their cause.

There is a big difference.

What qualifies as having their hands-held? If I drive my near-sighted grandmother to the polls to vote am I enabling the unqualified or am I merely helping an old lady to excersise her civic duty.

How is helping a homeless person any different? Is filling out their registration forms too much help? Is translating them too much help? Is merely driving them too much help?

I suppose that I made the mistake of believing that being an American citizen was enough. See I thought that facilitating the right to vote was our patriotic duty.

Senile old gun nuts have every right to express their garbled half-reasoned insanites through their vote, as does the most developmentally disabled person.

People who have been judged qualified to vote got us into the mess we are today. I for one think insane homeless people would pick a better president than the people who voted GWB and the people who will vote for John McCain.

How does that squares with the rights anti-intellectualism? Half its base appears mentally incapable of understanding its own interests.

I see where the Las Vegas chapter of ACORN that was raided by the FBI had registered the entire lineup of the Dallas Cowboys to vote. I suppose ACORN thought they needed help in getting to the polls too, huh? And I see where the Democratic secretary of state in Ohio has just been charged for violating federal election laws. And I see where over 1/4 of all early voting registrants in Pennsylvania have been found to be fraudulent. This is a blatant example of orchestrated election fraud. If you think the 2000 hanging chad debacle in Florida was a mess, you ain't seen nothin' yet.

Yes, yes and yes. Using your logic, we've scored a victory for democracy if we enable an illiterate drunk with a mental disorder to vote. How does that help?

I don't want MORE; I want MORE EDUCATED.

I'm just asking. If I drive my elderly grandmother to the polls is that helping a voter execute their rights or is it enabling an unqualified voter who never would have been able to make it to the polls themselves and therefore shouldn't vote.

I'm not advocating holding the hands of drunken illeterates to the voting booth I am asking *you* where is the line drawn?

In the article I read it never actually accused ACORN of doing anything illegal it just heavily implied that homeless people don't have the right to vote.

do they have the right to vote?

Universal suffrage is such an outdated idea. :(

If I tried to register as Mickey Mouse ACORN would still have to send that registration to the secretary for approval because if they took anyone OFF the registration roles that would be illegal - like when conservatives threw away Democratic registrations in 2004.

In any case the raids were done before ACORN was able to flag suspicious registrations, probably for the very purpose of inciting people like you to believe that Democrats were engaging in massive voter fraud.

Again - the secretary of state has to approve the registration before it goes to the election judges. It's not like a registration under the name of Mickey Mouse is actually going to survive the process, but it sure does work to rile up the right wing.

Cobia Hunter

you are out-of-reach

Republican Party have hacked or trying to hack the President Election.

John McCain gave the "CODE" (IT IS TIME TO TAKE THE GLOVE OFF) for the organizers to print out the forms on ACORN letterhead, and summit unknown names in the battleground states. then the week before the last debate October 17,2008 start raising the issue on unknown names that ACORN summitted (hacking of the president Election for and by the Republican Party)

this so happen a week before the second President Debate. ACORN is a very good Organization, Stop helping the Republican Party to bring this organization down, get your facts first. I am a Republican and all of this sadden me, I was at that Rally when this was mention. I am a Republican Delegate, I can not stand by without saiding something of great concern. Our Group is now trying to figure out, what we can do, maybe file a law suit against the Republican Party,I will know at next week meeting. John McCain/Sarah Pallin will not bring our Republican Party down.

If only educated people voted
