HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY it is the largest university on Long Island, New York. It's Sports Complex was used by the New York JETS for 20yrs ending '84.

I earned my B.A, in Economics/Philosophy, Iona College '58; M.S.in Education, State University of New York,(New Paltz), '63. I took 30 semester hours in advanced management, Cornell University, Industrial/Labor Management School, received Certificate of Advanced Studies in Management '77.

I entered Hofstra in '64, I took 30 semester hours in school administration (for NY-NJ-CT) licenses as a building principal or superintendent of schools. I received a Certificate of Advanced Study:Educational Administration'69. Appointed principal for 1100 students (1970-80). I decided to become an expert in reading/learning disabilities, so I took 30 semester hours and received The Professional Diploma in the Teaching of Reading '71. I continued my studies and earned my Ph.D in Reading/Learning Disabilities in '80. I became Special Education Administrator for 1000 students (1980-84).

In 1980, the district experienced declining enrolledment, an elementary school had to be closed. I was the last hired principal (14th)so I was transferred to Special Education with the understanding that I would be returned once new opening happened. It happened in 1984; however, the superintendent of schools decided to appoint his girlfriend. I challenged his decision, took it to New York Supreme Court, they unanimously ruled in my favor. However, my Mafia S of S, gave me a threatening offer I couldn't refuse----a 3 year tax-free ,$60,000 a year income/ medical benefits.

I divorced my mother-in-law, gave her daughter our beautiful house, all furnishings, a car, my cabin cruiser, $250,000 Kof C insurance policy; plus 25%NYS Teachers'retirement.

I started over again, stayed at Hartford YMCA, obtained a teaching position at Hartford High School days teaching English
