I don't hate obama, I think he is a pretty cool guy.

You hear opposition to his political ideas, vehement opposition, because they seem like socialism to me.

Socialism is hateful, socialism is fascism, socialism is naziism, socialism should be hated, despised, rejected and opposed by every woman and every man and everyone of every race and creed, because America is the alternative to socialism, the remedy to naziism, the better way than fascism.

I'll vote for obama, I'll start capitalizing his name again, I'll follow his leadership, if he repudiates naziism, if he can resolve his appearance of socailism, and if he rejects fascism.

This isn't personal. This is about liberty, and NOBODY reduces the liberty of Americans without getting a bloody nose, I think everyone deserves to know their Presidential candidate isn't a nazi.

First, he'll have a mandate - an electoral mandate and Congressional majority. So, he'll have less need of kissing ass, triangulating, and humoring the kook-wing. And, I suspect they'll not be leaving their doors nearly so wide open to the press, as the Clinton Administration did. That's not to suggest they'll bully and manipulate them to the extent the George/Dicks have. But there IS a happy medium. And..I don't imagine they'll entertain every ridiculous charge that comes their way, nearly to the extent the Clintons did. There IS some value in signalling to the press that if they don't act like adults, they'll not be having any access.

If you were though, I assure you my references to Pres. Clinton weren't intended as an insult. In fact...quite the contrary. I have the utmost respect for the fact that Pres. Clinton recognized what he needed to do - the triangulating and all that - and he did it. It wasn't HIS fault that he needed to do it. I'm just relieved that Obama may not need to do all that. So...if Obama doesn't, that won't make him a better man than Clinton, it'll just make all of us, including Obama, luckier.

Can you give me any advice on how you managed to put aside your anger long enough to do that? I have a tendancy to get squawky and nasty when I don't get my way, and my girlfriend says I need to change that.

the reason i got over hillary "losing" the primary was michelle obama , who spoke to judy woodruff on pbs. when asked about hillary michelle was very very kind and said hillary had been nothing but gracious to her.....even giving her advice on the kids and the press....that is what changed my mind. i fell for the media hype on the hard feeling between the clintons and the obamas....and i realized it at that moment

obamas lead in the gallup makes me breathe a little easier...heck , carville has called the election for obama, and i think he is right.
