"not to fund my son"....did she get that cold chill when your husband voted agaist the same type of bill ?

Or did she not realize two months later McCain voted agaist the same type of bill because it called for a timeline.

If the war is not winnable or meaningless, why take 15 months to leave?

If it is meaningful and winnable, why not base leaving on success?

There is no way of looking at Obama's plan as sensible.

Oh really? As of yet McBush (nor Bush), have defined victory

Or is 100 more years a "Sensible Plan?"

Sad.

It makes sense to them.

OK, idiot, take a wild ass guess at what a victory in Iraq is. You've been told a few times but you obviously can't read or hear. Deaf and dumb.

How long long have we been in Japan and Germany now?? Does that length of time bother you??

Ok, idiot boy, why don't you tell everyone what a victory in Iraq is, since none of you can seem to find it; much less your McShame, who claims he knows how to win.

And now you're going to compare Japan and Germany to Iraq? So how many deaths are there in Japan and Germany each month, and how much money are we spending in Japan and Germany every month, and for what?

When was the last time you were stationed in either Japan or Germany?

Figures, since your ass isn't on the line.

Let's say you've got a patient who has been having all kinds of liver symptoms and you theorize it may be cancer that can be removed surgically. So, you operate on him. Once he's opened up, you find out you were wrong. There is no cancer there. Turns out that operating was a bad idea, and you should have waited until you had stronger evidence of cancer before cracking the guy open. He does have liver symptoms, but they're not the type that surgery makes sense for.

Now, does that mean you should instantly walk away, without bothering to sew the guy up? Of course not. In the same sense, Obama can think that invading Iraq was a bad idea, and that staying there until we've "fixed the problem" isn't wise, without that meaning he thinks we should walk away immediately. No matter how ill-advised an operation, and no matter how unproductive the invasion, you need to take the time for a reasonable exit strategy when you reverse course. 15 months to leave is Obama's idea of such a strategy. He doesn't want to walk away from the patient without even sewing him up.

Leaving suddenly, like in Vietnam, causes more problems than gradual change. If the withdrawal is done gradually, and the situation is not ready, it isn't difficult to reverse course.

Wake up, Jimminyc..............

Oh, really, there are similarities? When victory was acheived with Japan (Sept 2, 1945) and our troops entered their homeland to begin occupation duties they were no longer subject to death or disability due to combat losses. The fight was over and the re-education of Japan as to the advantages of democracy began. Why is it you clowns continually try to connect WWII with this conflict when there are so few comparisons to suitably connect them. Quit trying to justify Bush's war with a world-wide conflict that dwarfs it in comparison, the results of which were cut-and-dried when peace terms were signed.

Now before you go calling names....are we looking for victory in Iraq or are we looking for victory in the war on terror?

Go get together with your little god the shrub and clear it up.....
