Best. Movie. Ever
by jwschmidt

Can't wait for the remake. One of the most entertaining pieces of conservative propaganda ever. And hands down Patrick Swayze's best role ever.

This has nothing to do with Iraq, and shouldn't be viewed as such. Its just a survivalist\anticommunist fantasy, and a damn good one at that. Watch it if you haven't - and don't miss Ferris Bueller's AK-47 toting sister in it either.

I have to disagree with you, and vote in favor of the hillbilly cop in Next of Kin. Any character who can credibly say "You ain't seen bad yet, but its a-comin'..." rules.

Hands down? I disagree - I'm going with Road House.

Hmm - when was the last time there was a remake of a cult classic that wasn't terrible? There may have been one or two, but they almost always ruin them. I can't see them hitting the necessary tone - unintentional but unapologetic over-the-top chessiness that made the movie what it is.

I don't think Red Dawn is sacred - I just don't see how a remake would be good, or how one is even necessary.

I had no idea

that Patrick Swayze even had a best role ever.

He always appeared completely creepy to me. And not creepy in a good way. Just creepy.

No, no, no you're all wrong. Swayze's best role was Derek Sutton in Youngblood. Especially when he reappears for the final game with his head wrapped in gauze from the concussion he suffered.

Emotional and powerful acting.

I always wondered

about the purpose of gauze wrapped around the heads of movie characters with concussions.

Does it keep their brains from leaking out, or what?
