Well, just my opinion, MOO, but when McCain broke off his personal appearance at Letterman, (and Letterman did seem a bit tiffed), McCain missed a chance to really for the time on Letterman to talk to a portion of the nation eyeball to eyeball so to speak about the "cratering" of the financial market and help people understand a bit better what all was going on. But he decided not to go on a "Comedy" show. Comedy? Here was his chance to have a "sit-down" with a portion of the US public and explain things to them. As someone said to me, does he now know how many people watch Letterman? A missed opportunity.

And the pullout from Michigan? Some on TV said it made it harder for Republicans, his fellow Republicans, in Michigan who are trying to win seats there. I have a friend in Calif who is from Michigan. I don't know how he feels, or his family in Michigan, have not taked to him. But I would very much feel it all a slap in the face if I were in Michigan, or from Michigan, whatever my potitical stance.

Oh, well. Sometimes, I wonder if McCain is really trying to win. When McCain picked Palin, I told a friend here that very day that I felt McCain had not done himself any favor by picking her. And now I hear on TV that some others are saying the same thing. I compared the whole thing to a marketing trick worthy of Madison Ave Hidden Persuaders. Sex Sells!! I heard also on TV someone who called it a good "marketing ploy" so it is not just my thinking alone. Oh, yeah, I said in another post Go Palin. Yeah, she just might shake up the world. The UN has never seen the likes of her! If McCain does win, if the two of them run again in 2012 and win, and if Palin runs for President in 2016 and wins, why we may have just begun to see and hear her.

Acorn has to do with fraudulant voting. Gracious , so much to be involved in. I think we should have to use voter ID but I think that the government should make it free. Volunteer organizations should be responsible to see that everyone has a chance to get an I.D. .

I think the premise that McCain does not really plan on winning is valid. Maybe Palin is a wonderful V.P. candidate but will the average American want a cute average type lady to be one heart beat away from the Presidency I do not know. The Repubs had a chance and they blew it; so now they should be happy to let others try. I wonder if Repubs are sending money to Obama so they can say we wipe our hands of the problem. If Obama is open and honest and law abiding he will be better than Bush. I heard a good one for you to think about. We cannot kill our way to victory in Iraq and Afghanistan. Another one; we should not spend millions of dollars propagandizing the Iraq people when we are having so much financial problems. That is so cool! Openess and honesty.
