The only thing that bothers me about an Obama presidency is that the Congress is going to be all Democratic too, with a lefty leadership (wouldnt it be interesting if Hillary become Senate majority leader...heh heh heh...). However, I think the Democratic party as a whole is becoming more moderate, so thats a bright spot. Even Pelosi is calling for tax cuts now.

The telling moment will be the last debate. If McCain's internal polling from the GOP is still bad, he'll go crazy with some new "Hail Mary pass" stunt (like he did with his "We'll buy up the bad mortgages" "plan" last night) or he pulls out some "secret file" he has on Obama and how Obama once attended a "radical Islam meeting as a boy" or "a secret plan to give billions to Kenya after he's elected"..

If he does that, it means he's so far behind he needs SOMETHING spectacular to catch up.

If he plays it CALMER than last night, it means he sees a winning trend and he's not as panicked.

A number of the Dems that won open seats or beat incumbent Repubs in '06 were center left moderates as will a number of them this November will be.

I haven't been here enough today to know what's going on.

I don't think those two that won in LA and MS were center left......

A conservative Dem(Blue Dog Dem) is center left. Maybe I should have said moderate Dems and conservative Dems.
