How to play the race card Gross style

Gross states that the right is blaming the poor and blacks for the mortgage crisis. Having read his article a second time what he really says is that the Wall Street Journal and other publications are putting some of the blame on the Community Redevelopment Act and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac's push to provide more mortgage loans to the poor and minorities without regard to the eventual consequences. Therefore, by Gross's logic if you assess blame to Freddie and Fannie you are by association blaming the poor and blacks. This is a typical example of how liberal authors will go to extremes to play the race card. I hope most fair minded people will see through such manipulation.

"I hope most fair minded people will see through such manipulation."

They will see through it. However, Gross's work was not meant for "fair minded people" or to be even handed with facts. Gross's work was only meant to support a single position, therefore, it belongs more properly to the field of propaganda, than to journalism.

I've heard it many times from people who frequesnt Rush radio and Fox news, and I've hear Sean Hannity say it several times. DONT TRYTO OBFUSCATE THE FACTS. they are blaming Presidents far past and minorities.

At least he stopped short of a blanket accusation that anyone who writes for the WSJ opinion page is a racist based on that association alone....
