No, do you think I need to do so?

good point

I think one thing that makes people angry is feeling helpless

and one thing that makes people feel helpless is thinking that every adverse thing that happens is the fault of "the other" ie, that bunch of people over there who have crazy ideas, malicious intent, and won't listen to reason

that's a setup for rage if I ever saw one

No. But here's an inspiring anecdote about the difference anger management classes can make.

When I was in my early '20s, back in the first Bush administration, I had a friend who was cute, female, and really, really unstable. One day, she invited me along when she went to drink cheap wine out of a box with these really scary-looking dudes who lived in her apartment building, scary dudes I hadn't met before we showed up, box of wine in hand. I was already really drunk, and within minutes I managed to knock my glass of cheap (red) wine over onto the carpet.

"Sorry. Oh man, I'm sorry," I said.

Scary looking dude number one said, "Hey, no worries. Look!", and pointed out the framed certificate of completion of an anger management class up on his wall. Which was incredibly reassuring, as you might imagine.

Nice to know you got out alive:o)

I do the same. You have to have sense humor to survive. I've never lost mine. In fact my laughed my butt off when I saw that I had put an *an* in my subject line instead of an *a*. However, I did state that I'm a simple man.. LMAO

Don't we all, at times. Wth this election drawing to an end; I fear that this may be one of those times. I'd think that everyone would be more concerned about the economy; rather than who is about to become president. I pity whoever that it is. This is not 1929 and a depression now (with a global economy and the lifestyle changes)--this will be a national disaster like we've never seen. Expect high suicide rates.

Anger management classes?

Kiss my ass, lowlife.

I heard a bunch of this crap right after the "news" came out that Chicago is the USA's most stressed out city. As soon as I read that I wanted to pop a xanax, and then beat the crap out of the morons who came up with that nonsense.

That's right, I deleted my reply, and then reposted it. You don't like that? Tough shit!!!

Anger management?

Fuck off.

You have a nice day now. Great post.

Obama/Biden in '08

You Betcha ;-)

good question

I teach anger management to pre-K teachers, day care givers and parents of toddlers. Of course, I call it "How to teach your children anger management skills."
that pisses me off.

I thought about that today. A lot of this anger is apolitical and it stems from personal worries or concerns. It's just that many people don't realize it yet. I'm lucky because I've always been a surviver. I own my own home. I have a well, two gardens, a straw berry patch, blue berry bushes, apple, peach and pear trees and a root cellar. My wife cans our fruits and vegetables. My garden shed has solar lights. We have 7,000 watt generator (fully stocked with tools and supplies. I have electric heat with a wood stove for a backup. I have a modest gun collection with plenty of ammo, a boat and all sorts of fishing equipment.

I have a small savings; but it is all in gold (and some rare coins. I think that I'm pretty well prepared.

No, you don't need anger management.
by First Hawk

You cracked me me up. I can't stop laughing.

First Hawk

I can see why you'd be upset.

Would you like to talk about it? That's a nice shirt, where did you get it? Your son is a real pleasure in class.

I hate to admit it, but you may have a point on this....

Do you think I should try brewing the coffee rather than just eating the grind from the bag?
