If you live in London, and would take up arms should Poland be invaded (as you should), but you wouldn't "give a shit" if Russians invaded Alaska- explain to me how you even have a dog in this fight? Given Alaska's most recent contribution to the rest of the US, I'm not entirely inclined to defend them (at least not within the first 30 days or so- however long the rest of the country has been subjected to the Thrilla from Wasilla) either. But your original post said that the fake liberal sentiment of NATO refusing to go to war on behalf of Poland was wrong. Or didn't apply to you. Or some shit. As for my original post, I was merely making the point that most of Nato - i.e the European bit - would happily fight to protect Poland from Russia. If US liberals don't fancy that, then perhaps invite yourself out of the alliance and we Europeans will rearm to our 1940s level. You know, like when Germany almost took over the world on its own, and when Britain managed a third of the world's landmass...
