ZZZZZZZZZZZZZeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
by Seasoldier

I suppose you guys think I'm crazy, but matter not I had a good time tonight taking notes during the debate. That is until I fell asleep! The most interesting thing I noticed was Obama's speech patterns. The "... you know, I've been traveling a lot lately, and...." reminded me of another politician--that's right, HILLARY CLINTON! Hahahahahahahaha

Mc raised Cain with Obama's voting record as Obama retailiated never once watching the moderator's lights or even bothering to answer the question. That is way the next four years will be like the last eight, only worse! I actually fell asleep listening to their 'canned' arguments. That's it, that is how they will get complete control over us--boredom!

Seasoldier/Hahahahahahahahahaha Evidently I didn't miss much.

Since I know they won't let me ask any questions and I've heard this crap since the fifties, all I can do is fall asleep! Hahahahaha

Seasoldier/I want to see a discussion, with no moderator, between Paul, and Kucinich just for the hell of it. If those two ever got together I think the country would FEEL BETTER, but it will never happen. Paul could return us to the gold and silver certificates and do away with the leeching FED while Kucinich could personally take to task the prosecution of this administration and most of congress. I'd rehire Powell as Defense Department Secretary and fire everyone there that was not owning up to their oaths! There are a lot of good people out there but leadership is missing.

At this point, it's all a game of Defense . .

It's not important what you say, just don't screw up in any big way. Use all the "party appropriate" catch phrases and make sure you blame the "other guys" for everything that has gone wrong in the World. After the debate is over, let the "spinmeisters" explain exactly what you should have said.

In other words,"FIXED!" I read a book, knew I could watch it forever. They even ran a Clinton ,Pero and Bush debate yesterday!

That Bush, checking his watch, wondering, how soon can I get out of here? Just like his Son now, counting the days until he can cut and run from his mess. Leaving others to clean up. The same thing he has done all his life!

It's times like these that remind me how out-of-touch I am with most people. I found the debate to be more interesting than most, because it was slightly more substantive than usual. It wasn't like the freak show of Palin trying to muddle her way through the VP debate. But, I guess, most people prefer the freak shows.
POLITICO - "Worst Debate Ever"

"With the country at one of its most interesting—not to mention terrifying—moments in a generation, John McCain and Barack Obama met in Nashville for what was surely one of the dullest and was definitely the least satisfying presidential debate in memory."

As I said above, rather than being BOLD and trying to reassure the American public that they understood the fear and anxiety that is gripping the nation during the current financial crisis and were committed to doing whatever was necessary to address the situation, both candidates stuck to their prepared scripts and tried to avoid any self-inflicted blunders.

In a word, they were "uninspiring" - almost timid. The promise both men once offered - of a new, less contrived and more creative brand of politics is now but a distant memory.
