I'm no political pollyanna, but this is looking increasingly possible. In fact..I would put that odd of that now, at slightly better than the odds were, of the Democrats regaining the Senate majority in '06.

A number of big name Republicans are in very tough races.

One of them is the Republican leader, Mitch McConnell, who is only up by 1 point.

Others incluse Norm Coleman (who will not be missed), John Sununu,and the reliable GOP hack Saxby Chambliss.
