Feds Raid Navada Office of ACORN. -
by TickleBob

LAS VEGAS -- Nevada state authorities are raiding the Las Vegas headquarters of an organization that works to get low-income people to vote.

A Nevada secretary of state's office spokesman said Tuesday that investigators are looking for evidence of voter fraud at the office of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN.

No one was at the ACORN office when state agents arrived with a search warrant and began carting records and documents away.

Secretary of State spokesman Bob Walsh says ACORN is accused of submitting multiple voter registrations with false and duplicate names.

The raid comes two months after state and federal authorities formed a task force to pursue election-fraud allegations in Nevada.

Glad to see them doing something constructive.

Oh,yes,I was ridiculed for objecting to same day registration and the Obama team planning on sending out buses to pick up people from homeless shelters.

This is the same thing they used to do in Chicago and in Missouri they were caught giving out cigarettes for votes!

Anyone who does not know their history are doomed to repeat it,over and over!

The reason we are in such trouble is that both parties have become a win at all costs.Ethics be damned!

MA, are you saying that people in homeless shelters don't get to vote? (I thought I posted a link to the Ohio law concerning the eligibility of the homeless but maybe you missed it?) Or that giving those people a ride to the polls is unethical? (Or maybe it's only ethical if they walk to the polls?)

You might not like it because it helps Obama but that doesn't make it either unlawful or unethical.

A ride, some cigarettes (thinking of their health), a six pack of beer and a little "blow" for a Democrat vote. We promise more "blow" later.

Nothing illegal, that's why they are being investigated in several states.

Prove it, Puddin' Head. It looks just like more Rightwing harassment of anyone trying to help the poor vote. This harassment of ACORN just reeks of political manipulation of the voting process that the Bush administration has do so much to advance. (Recall the firing of the Federal Prosecutors that wouldn't go along with such manipulation?)

They were registering homeless and offering them a ride to the polls. Neither of those activities is illegal. Neither of those activities is unethical.

The rest of your blather is just bullshit. And you are just a liar.

Do I make myself clear?

You have that exactly right. I do not like it,would not like it in either party.

The Homeless Shelters I have worked with put you out on the street in the morning, allow you to come back at night, if they have a bed open.

I read your post on the laws>I also know it has to be a permanent address. Most shelters are not permanent. That includes families.

The law specifically states that it doesn't have to be a permanent address, only that they intend to return there.

Maybe so. I wouldn't put it past the R's to try something like that. He would still be elected though.

Of course, you are still a lying troll so probably the federal officers charged with enforcing through such an obvious abuse of the criminal justice system would have the honesty that you so obviously lack and would spit in the face of anyone that tried to push them to act at such a time. Some federal prosecutors refused to push bogus investigations before the 2006 election if you recall.

Americans have made a lot of mistakes but electing a guy on his way to prison isn't likely to be one of them. But, look what the Blacks did in Washington DC with Marion Barry.

So Obama should be arrested to prevent him from being elected? LOL!!

And you are STILL a lying troll.

Look, Hussein Obama is being investigated for shady campaign donations from overseas, he is also tied to ACORN which does not surprise me considering his other shady relationships. You should let the investigation become final before you open your mouth and prove you are an idiot.

Don't let facts get in your way there TB......

ACORN officials said they were stunned by the search because they had unilaterally identified and flagged suspicious voter registration cards to the county elections board starting in July and had been cooperating with authorities to cull bad information and fire workers who collected that information, said Brian Mellor, senior counsel for Project Vote.
