the polls were not wrong and neither was Saletan...you seem to forget the bush/rove machine stole the election of 2000. :>)

Certainly the election was closer than the polls would have indicated, and that's a good note of caution for Obama supporters. But remember than in 2000 Gore actually won the popular vote, which is what the polls indicated. No doubt if the polls had been limited to the Supreme Court, they would have indicated a 5-4 victory for Bush, thanks to the 7-2 dominance of Republicans in that body, which is what we ended up getting.
