I'm more worried that McCain would actually be friends with a known and unrepentent democracy hater like Libby. McCain acknowledges that Libby is a close friend, and I've never heard John McCain condemning what Libby did.

Obama has never been close friends with Ayers,who happened to be on the same charitable board, along with many other people. There is no evidence that they were more than aquaintences, but Obama did say that he thought what Ayers did (when Obama was 8 years old) was reprehensible. There is a lot of evidence by McCain's own admission of his relationship with Libby.
