Dangerous, dangerous times, my friends.
by MichaelRyerson
As Obama's star has risen the rightwing has abandoned all pretense of political dialogue. Dangerous, dangerous times.

"Despite its best efforts, the McCain camp's sneering attacks are not proving that Barack Obama is not like the rest of us. They are proving that John McCain is not like the rest of us. Americans are hungry for a serious conversation about the multiple crises we are facing. And by ignoring that conversation in favor of yet another round of fear-mongering, McCain is showing himself to be the candidate who is "not a man who sees America like you and I see America."

The most revealing thing about the nature of McCain's attacks isn't the contempt he has for Obama (that's been on display for a while now) -- it's the contempt he has for the country he claims to be putting first."

Hopefully it will get dirty enough to ensure a Republican victory. Then you guys can spend the next four years squealing like pigs being butchered about how we stole the election.

Man, but won't that be fun.

The phonies on the right never intended to stay with the issues in October. They haven't stayed with the issues in October for years.

The GOPs policies have wrecked America. So all they can do is attack people for things they didn't do.

Obama had nothing to do with any illegal activities dutring the 60s he was 8 years old.

"Who They Are, What They're About

So we have McCain today getting his crowd riled up asking who Barack Obama is and then apparently giving a wink and a nod when one member of the crowd screams out "terrorist."

And later we have Sarah Palin with the same mob racket, getting members of the crowd to yell out "kill him", though it's not clear whether the call for murder was for Bill Ayers or Barack Obama. It didn't seem to matter.

These are dangerous and sick people, McCain and Palin."

You sure that wasn't your head jerking uncontrollably? You know how you sometimes get flustered when you hear the truth.

Careful. You've linked to your website. They can judge for themselves.
Ahhhh . . . you just revealed
by Demcon

a crack in the Obama armor. "Obama had nothing to do with any illegal activities dutring the 60s he was 8 years old."

Nobody is saying that Obama was that precocious nor that he did anything illegal. They are pointing out on the character issue that Obama went to work for Ayer's ACORN organization directly out of college and that Obama and Ayers DID have a close business association and have since funneled funds between one another . . . all of which Obama originally denied.

At a minimum Obama is a liar. That's all that he's known to be 'guilty' of at the moment with Ayers, but then the investigtions and revelations have really just started.

"Kill him!"
by DragonTat2
Kill him?! That's just fucking insanity, that.
One wonders if you are
by Demcon

really that much of a hysterical Obama fanatic or if you are just being melodramatic for the fun of it.

Obama decided to lie about his associations with radicals and their extremist organizations. What's puzzling is how he thought that he would get away with it. Yes, the vast bulk of the national press has been playing the Obama worship game but surely he did not believe that Fox News, countless conservative talk radio hosts, and the McCain campaign would let him continue this free ride up to election day.

So does he have a counter to the truth coming out? So far he is seen to be weak on this. His Keating Five counter today was lame since McCain was investigated up one side and down the other and exonerated. So how is he going to prevent people from becoming curious as those sources begin massive information dumps during the remaining days of the campaign and pound him on it 7/24?

he was eight fucking years old you crackpot.

I've said this to you before, get a fucking life.

It doesn't matter WHO they were saying "Kill him" about - - it is a disgusting, dangerous mob-mentality and the final card in the Republican deck.

This is conduct WHOLLY unbecoming a Senator of the United States or any other American campaigning for any office in this land.

To encourage this is beyond disgusting.

Do people have no sense of history? Have the people who support McCain and Palin and who claim there is no racial element never SEEN the documentary material on lynch mobs?
