Look who is calleing the kettle black...

Palin is a divider, says who XX? Please, XX and many at Slate has been rdragging her through the mud saying or implying she is an uneducated, backwoods, intolerant, stupid, airhead, hick. Now you’re crying over the fact that she is labeling her foes for what they are? The last month America has seen what “tolerance”, “diversity”, and “multiculturalism” the liberal’s allegedly espouse. Perhaps liberals should practice what they preach. The fact is liberals praise multiculturalism while deriding rural people as dumb rednecks. Liberals praise diversity but hate anything Christian. Liberals praise tolerance but will squelch out any opposing viewpoints they come across. Maybe XX should move out of their glass house before throwing stones at Palin the divider.

But Palin IS a divider, and you are full of shit. Your whining about those mean liberals is just pathetic. Conservatives have bee beating up on those soft, whiny liberals since the Reagan years. Every time you outspent the other side three or four to one, generally with corporate money you repaid by screwing workers and degrading the environment, you strutted around as if you'd done something smart. You loooooved kicking ass.

Well, what goes around comes around. You Lee Atwater types (of course, not as smart or funny as he was, but just as mean and short-sighted) have had your fun and now the tide's running the other way, and my, how you snivel.

Your last pathetic ruse, here is to pretend the other side is just a bunch of city slicker elitists, while your guys represent the timeless values of farm folks -- country first, right? We weren't supposed to be smart enough to figure out what that meant. were we?

Go hump somebody else's ankle, clown.

So Oxboggle, I'm sure you will shut your trap and take it when Palin hands Obama his lunch all week, right? Cause it going to get really really tough, and your boy and his advocates have been just as nasty as anyone could be. So no one is going to cry and go tell mommy right? Cause those days are gone after the way this things have played out this last couple weeks? Alls fair, right? Ha ha ha.

Lubbesuh,

Just what are you trying to say exactly? You can't seriously believe the Obama campaign has been "just as nasty" as McCain's. I can assure you, even most Republicans don't think that.

You just said (rather sweetly, I might add) in another post that you think Palin is wonderfully real and multidimensional. Yet here you are using veiled threats and mockery to make your point.

Is this really the way you want to be? Full of hatred and vitriol? And all because your candidate is in trouble? How will you handle his defeat? Because, face it, there's a pretty good chance he is going to lose.

You're quite the trash talker yourself, aren't you?

Let me remind you that John McCain said that negative ads are proof of no vision. Hey, Lubbie, is there another word for hypocrite?

MCCAIN: "Uh, I, I just have to rely on the good judgment of the voters not to buy into these negative attack ads. Sooner or later, people are going to figure out if all you run is negative attack ads you don't have much of a vision for the future or you're not ready to articulate it." [The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, 2/21/2000]

Sen. Obama is not going to fold. I know you're frightened of the scary black man, but he's not going anywhere. He's put up with a lot tougher crap than this. Get back to us when your "boy" and his "girl" get invited to go back to Arizona and Alaska.

Let me answer this for her. YES.

Yes, because her candidate has decided to go negative and she's going right along with him.

Yes, because she's a good sheep.

Yes, because she has nothing else to hang on to.

Yes, because she can't talk issues.

Yes, because...just because.

Madsally, I have been appalled at the Obama campaign's tactics since back in the primaries and I am certainly not alone in this. Everytime someone punches back he and/or his media surrogates cry and whine like innocent victims. It is the same game over and over again. But Obama is not a frail little flower. He is the guy with the picture of muhammed ali on his office wall. He is the guy who had his good friend and mentor kicked off the ballot in order to win election to the Illinois state legislature. He fought dirty with Clinton too, manipulating the press and the caucas system and then accusing her of racism. He went negative first on her and the accused her of going negative when she hit back. They have been as vile to Palin as anything I have witnessed personally in American politics. Save your whining and your tears. If you think you're a Muhammed Ali its all well and good, but fight like a big boy and save us the Joe Biden tears.

Obama needs to be asked about his radical left associations. The voters need straight answers about his values and how he views this country. I never had any doubt that Hillary Clinton loved this country and would defend it with all she had. Why do I not see that in Obama? His associates, his friends, things his wife says, what he says in private fundraising events, all create doubts rather than reassurance. What I see is a candidate who is treated with kid gloves while Palin is lambasted for things that are by any standard trivial. If it takes Palin to force him to answer tough questions than so be it. Since she has been the one to go through the fire, no one will question her right to do so.

Neither candidate, when you get past all the smoke and mirrors, is much different from each other. Both have a vision for the direction they want this country to go in. The problem that will arise is when the new Presidnt actually tries to gt something accomplished. If McCain wins, the Democrats will fight tooth and nail to insure his failure, to set themselves up for the 2012 elections. If Obama wins, the Democrats will consider themselves to have carte blanche. Neither will get anything done. If all you people espousing the need for change really want it then look to a third party candidate. However, since the MSM is in the pockets of the RNC and the DNC, you will never be given the opportunity to hear them debate McCain or Obama and be able to compare. all we will get, regardless of who wins, is more of the same old bovine excreta. Bend over because it is going to get worse and WE, the tax payers, are going to get it in the end.
