Why do women have a tendency to want
by DocBill

to change the behaviors of their mates?

Poor, OT's babes ,have gottened together, to change this--- lovely, free-spirited, guy's world!!!

I asked him,' what was happening?', when he posted his "The bailout in plain English" 10/4 post; I was surprise to hear that his "babes" were giving him "a hard time".

Guys/gals, what advice would you give?

Its genetic Dr Bill the very things they like in male before marriage are they things they want to reform after marriage and this instinctive urge to change men according to thier own ideas is where all the trouble starts, smart women don't try to change men, they just pick the ones that suit them. I have not been married but I have seen many of my friends end up like that.

What my "babes" want is for me to start a family so THEY have decided that I should move out of New York and start a family with the TVLady, where the Bankerlady can be the live-in aunt , isn't that just great.

Don't worry guys I am no pushover and they are not going to decide which one I should marry or whether I should marry at all, I do like the idea of moving outside New York if I can find a farming area nearby but I will not let others make my decisions till I am hitched to them and even afterwards I would like to do things as equal partners.

Right now it is subtle hints and suggestions but if they come on strong towards me I think I will tell them that they should marry eachother and I will be the sperm donor or would that be too harsh ?

THUS SAYETH THE ROBSTER:

Dr Bill, why women do anything is one of life's deepest mysteries. If you ever figure that one out, write a book. I assure you, sir, you will become a rich, old lech.

In OT's case, well my, my, my...

Big surprise there, hey?

Women don't like like to share their tallywhacker. Even if they're doing it with multiple partners. It shatters the delusion that their man can't live without what they're providing, despite the fact that he can get it virtually anywhere else.

As can she.

Many men are thus afflicted with the same problem. They don't want to share either. They expect a faithful women who will put up with their bullshit, hound-dog ways while they go out and deposit their seed into any convenient receptacle they can find.

Rob says if it involves the female of the species, it's a pain in the ass.

Rob's wife says if it involves the male of the species, it's a pain in the ass.

The basic fundamental problem here is that we are all endowed with two heads and a single brain cell, and it's always located in the wrong damned head. Even a genius only bats about .150, which won't get you into the bigs.

It might get you laid, because the smaller head of the species is usually better at attaining what it wants than the larger gray-matter deprived head is.

Which is why so many of us are dumb-asses who are constantly in trouble with our opposites.

The worst of that trouble being matrimony, which happens in extreme case scenarios when the big head beacomes so atrophied that it totally loses all it's perspective.

When it regains that perspective, it is of course too late, and the poor lady or son of a bitch is doomed.

We would all do better to avoid each other.

In OT's case I can only say of course they're giving him a heard time.

They're women, aren't they?

My best advice here is to simply give them something hard back, and enjoy the situation while it lasts.

The gratutious bitching just goes with the species.

A Playboy Magazine and a tube of KY would be the most sensible and least expensive option for the male.

For the ladies, a good vibrator and an ample suppy of batteries is a must.

Anything more than this is just silly-ass romantic notions that get all of us in trouble.

Remember, when your brain cell only gets on base about 15 times out of a hundred, you aint as smart as society tells you that you are are.

Take a cold shower, keep the fly zipped, and the legs closed.

Your life might not be as exciting, but at least it will be peaceful and tranquil by comparison. You won't have to go on anti-pshchotic meds, high blood pressure pills, or tranks.

Anything involving the opposite can, and generally will be, hazardous to your health.

Sounds perfect. They don't want to be knocked up simultaneously?

Chill Wills: Is divorce when you pay a woman not to live with you, boss?

John Wayne: Yep.

Chill Wills: Some women I've known it would be worth it...

Shake off the dust and cobwebs and use the right head, OT.

I loved your poetry on Vaseline, I totally agree and have availed of the facility thousands of times, sometimes a playboy magizine and a jar of vaseline are a lot more convenient then all the fuss , but only if we could live without the female of the species................. I think we can't.
Re: Why do women have a tendency to want

Well we wouldn't even be here if it weren't for females. It's just that...oh hell, nevermind...anything I say can and will be used agaisnt me.

If only there was a way to control the beast...

Re: Why do women have a tendency to want

Just one last observation here.

Many men or women try to change the person they're with, only to find that if they succeed, they have changed what had attracted them to that person to begin with.

I don't know why this is, but it generally ends up terminating the relationship.

I think it's pointless to try and change a man. Don't marry him if you don't like what he does or who he is. Embrace who you married and love him anyway - faults and all :) You can, however try to bribe them into changing. Like, I'm going to tell ken tonight that if he quits smoking, I will set up a savings account for him and put the equivelent amount of money in the account that he would spend on cigarettes and in a year he can buy a boat. Mind you, it won't be a fancy boat, but we should have a few thousand to spend (he's up to 2 packs a day, i believe)

April, how much is a pack of death sticks? Why is he smoking so much? What's worrying him? Go to images on the internet--check what his lungs look like. I hope Abbie isn't exposed to secondary smoke!!!
Re: Why do women have a tendency to want
by ThatsSuperBlonde2U
He doesn't smoke in the house or in his truck when Abbie is with us. He is a driver and it is a very high-stress job. He only smoked 3/4 packs before he started driving again and now he's getting CLOSE to 2 packs - I don't think he's quite there yet. I did the math and he spends between $2,000 and $2,500 a year on cigarettes (they are about $3.50 a pack here)

April, does he drive long or short hauls? How long has he been driving for the company?

My advice would be to find someone you do not feel you have to change. Everyone has flaws, but those flaws have to be something we can live with. If you can't, don't marry them.

Granted, Persephone is in the middle of a painful divorce, so probaby isn't the best person to give advice, but she is seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It seems that the wandering and proverbial soul searching and soul wounding she did to herself at the beginning of the year has prompted Hades to file the divorce papers this week. She was ineligible to file since she had relocated miles away from her home on the river Stix. She is living along the mighty Mississippi now, and trying to reacquaint herself with living in the sunshine after that 12 year exile with Hades. Things are as they should be. She wandered too far to go back to the way she was before, almost a year ago exactly, and just beginning to realize how strong she really is and rediscovering her own inner beauty. All of that bullshit. Maybe one day she will actually be *gasp* happy?! Perhaps.

So Persephone says... don't find a man who you have to change in order to make him fit you. Find the man that you wouldn't change for the world because you aren't whole without him. He's out there. And that's all I am going to say about that.

Dr. Bill, he is home every night so it is local work. He's been working there almost 2 years now. The company has been under financial strain because they pick up construction waste and since there has been a significant slow down on construction they have taken a big hit
