PALIN POUNCES

Palin pounces. Joe's living in the past. He's an crachity old man. He's embedded in d.c. He's a fossil. Put a reformer in there. If people were smart they would google "obama's voting record and biden's. he misstated mcain's position 10 times.

Why isn't Palin doing any more interviews with the press? She lost the debate last night, according to polls of undecided voters. Biden looked presidential to about 100% of those polled, while Palin got about a 40% rating.

Is she afraid of tough questions? It would seem so. You can find out what she has to say, if you don't mind accepting her memorized speeches. Don't expect any critical thought or examples of complex problem solving.

100%--I kinda freakin' doubt it

You cannot get 100% of people to agree the sun rises in the east. Most polls give Biden the nod as to having "won" the debate, but that both Palin and Biden were presidential and improved their approval ratings. High 50s range, not 100%

But thanks for pointing out what is the modus operandi of the Democrat party--overstate, exaggerate and if necessary, make up statistics.

The polls from the liberal MSM are as useless as tits on a bull. Do you honestly believe a poll from MSNBC to be accurate? LOL! I saw CNN's poll of a mere 611 people. If you want to get a feel for a real poll, then you should check out the Drudge Report's poll of nearly 500,000 respondents. Palin won convincingly by 70 - 30.

That's scary!

That's amusing, such a random sample, people viewing the Drudge website, lol!

You could probably get a 70% consensus for all manner of scary shit from such a group.

Actually, the fact that only 70% of Drudge readers are for Palin should be a point of serious concern for the GOP.

Liberal MSM???!!

Liberal MSM?? What CREDIBLE evidence do you have that the CONTENT of the "MSM" is biased to the left of the american populace?

Why would the MSM risk alienating their consumers and give them anything other than exactly what they want?

87% vs 42%. say that Biden is qualified for the job vs those who think Palin is. The one that was closer to 100% was about appearances, not about who won the debate. I tried to find it on the web, but got 376,000 hits and I have too much to do today.

just a rumor.

Got a post you'd like to point to as an example? I already answered the "question" on the previous stats. I can't find the poll on 100% rating for appearances. It would seem that someone misread my post to mean who won the debate. There is also a poll which shows 87% of people asked think Biden is qualified vs. 42% for Palin.

A real poll?

Biden 95%

Palin 5%

As I have said before: There is only one poll that counts and it will be taken November 4th, 2008. From what I read, many Washington politicians are more than worried as the polls had showed their candidate ahead and they still lost the election.

One poll that counts
by degsme

Are you sure that there is only one poll that counts?

That was the attitude the GWB campaign used in 2000 and 2004. So they did what they could to obscure their real policies, ran on largely hollow demagougery (SBVFT? Inveted the Internet?) And then thought they could govern as though they had a mandate.

And we have seen where that has left GWB. He is now such a lame duck that when he comes on national media (TV and Radio) and gives an address saying "The Nation Is in trouble - this bill needs to be passed to save it" That not only does the pulbic not believe him or follow him, but HIS OWN PARTY IN CONGRESS doesn't follow.

As a result, our enemies abroad (and we have them) are largely ignoring any diplomatic pressure the US is trying to apply to reduce the threats to us, just as Bush is being ignored by Congress.

So, do you honestly think that if McCain/Palin win in November, that they will get enough of the PUBLIC's support (as opposed to the voting public) that they will be able to govern?

Do you really think that McCain will even break 50% approval ratings 6 mos into his administration?

Re: One poll that counts

I am positive that only one poll counts. In fact I am willing to bet money on it. I will bet you that the winner of the November 4th poll will be the next POTUS, If McCain/Palin win that poll as many Democrat politicians seem to be concerned about, then all congress will do by not assisting them in fixing what is wrong with this country (that is assuming they actually keep their campaign promises which would be a first for most any politician, Democrat or Republican) then congress will exposed once and for all as the primary culprits they are for what is ailing America.

The same can be said for if the Obama/Biden ticket although, I expect them to tow the Democratic line which will suit Congress just fine as they tax America to death and increase federal government jobs/spending at our expense.

The really sad thing is that the poor Democratic Congress would not have a Republican POTUS to blame their failures on, but I am sure with the money we pay them, they will find a Republican scapegoat somewhere.

Except that

then congress will exposed once and for all as the primary culprits they are for what is ailing America.

Take off the partisan spin please. Over 80% of the public believe the nation is going in the wrong direction. The GOP platform and the McCain ticking in particular is 90%+ aligned with the current administration's direction. So why would the majority of the public consider that this is "fixing what is wrong with this country"?

I expect them to tow the Democratic line which will suit Congress just fine as they tax America to death and increase federal government jobs/spending at our expense.

You do realize that it is an "on the record FACT" that since 1968 EVERY GOP administration has INCREASED the size of the federal government and spending, And EVERY Democratic administration has actually CUT both spending and the size of government?

So why would the Dems change now? What is different about Obama and his supporters that was not there 8 years ago?

FACTS MATTER. go look up the facts on who cuts government and who increases it.
