It used to called 'double talk'

I listened to the 'debate' between Palin and Biden on the radio, as I was driving. I think Palin's object was to only sound decisive, matching her punchy delivery method to that of Biden's forceful style. The words -- they didn't matter. Anything that sounded like a word would do as long as she didn't pause, didn't sound thoughtful, didn't break pace. Especially on the teevee where her winking, vamping, nose wrinkling and smiling delivered another message.

Her entire act was just that - an act. It was the most cynical kind of disinformation aimed at those people in our society who are used to not thinking when they watch tv and probably were never taught to diagram a sentence in their lives. In fact, anyone who DOES know how to diagram a sentence (Mr. and Mrs. Joe Six-pack, for instance) are just the kind of people they don't want in office.
