Middle class?! Represents the heartland?!
by elemenop2

Where does this silly woman get her ideas? Alaska is far from the heartland but I guess she spends all her time looking at Russia.

And middle class?! I'm moving to Alaska if this is middle class:

The Palins' total income last year was split almost evenly between Sarah Palin's white-collar job and her husband's blue-collar work. Sarah Palin's salary as governor was $125,000; Todd Palin took in $46,790 as a part-time oil production operator for BP Alaska in Prudhoe Bay, plus $46,265 in commercial fishing income and $10,500 in Iron Dog snowmachine race winnings. These figures do not include nearly $17,000 in per diem payments Palin received for 312 nights spent in her own home since she was elected governor; she also has received $43,490 to cover travel costs for her husband and children.

In addition, each member of the Palin family received $1,654 in state oil royalties paid to all Alaskans.

The Palins' assets seem enviable: a half-million-dollar home on a lake with a float-plane at the dock, two vacation retreats, commercial-fishing rights worth an estimated $50,000 or more and an income last year of at least $230,000. That compares to a median income of $64,333 for Alaskans and $50,740 for Americans in 2007, according to the Census Bureau.

She doesn't know anything about the middle class!

Trying to destroy Palin is not working.

It is funny how much time money and effort the dems and the media are wasting on her.

The middle class can relate to her. But not enough to sway the election. The middle class can not relate to Biden, but it does not matter.

Man! I would LOVE to be that kind of

middle class!

Then do what Sarah and her husband did. Get an education, work hard and make good decisions.

LOL, the unfounded accusations will not stop. I think the dems and media will continue their attacks on her for the next 8 years even with Obama as President.

Uhm...I have.

I have a college degree .I also work 2 full time jobs and am raising 2 children. My income comes NOWHERE in the range of hers. I am considered middle class. Sarah Palin is not. As a "middle-class" person with middle class family and friends I can honestly say that not a single one of us can relate to Palin.

Liberals can not understand or relate to conservatives. They are especially disdainful of conservative minorities or women.

I have a decent education and I work hard, but I have not made the best decisions. Otherwise I would have moved out of the middle class also.

Why didn't you address the FACTS,THE UNDENIABLE FACTS,about palins income? She is NOT a 'joe sixpack" ,she is not an average american, and her statement to this is nothing more than proof that she is out of touch with most americans who are struggleing because of primarily the economic policies of HER party ,the repubs. She is either lying of deluded. So why did you not address the easily proven FACTS in the post?

Wow, imagine a family that the husband works two jobs and competes to earn money and a wife that works hard to climb into a better paying job.

Yea, I guess your right, what the hell would they know about hardworking Americans.

Then again what would a liberal know about hard work????? LOL

Palin grew up in a middle class family, struggled economically when she was first married and spent most of her adult life in the middle class.

Liberals hate it when middle class americans work hard and succeed. Libertarians celebrate such people.

Your right what the hell would a family that works 3 or 4 jobs to have a decent income know about middle class America.

Your such a fool.

Of course Obama who lives below the poverty level knows more, right?

Oh thats right, his income makes her look like she's on welfare. So what the hell does Mr. Elite no about middle class?
Re: Middle class?! Represents the heartland?!

So you have a problem with a man that works two jobs to increase his income?

Jeez I know liberals don't like to work but why begrudge others who are willing to work hard?
Re: Man! I would LOVE to be that kind of

You could if you had a husband that worked two jobs or you could work more if you like.

How close to the middle class do you think Obama is?
