Watching Palin is painfull for WHICH women?
by Ironman

It would be painful for women who have lost their own femininity while extolling the virtues of other so-called populist versions of "liberated" women.

Examples of these types of women would be bull dyke lesbians who wish they had a penis and testicles. Or perhaps the typical NOW "woman" who views "womanhood" only from the perspective of having a "right" to kill her own child. Palin represents the civilized woman, not the barbaric category that describes the two mentioned.

I find it funny that the very individuals who scream for tolerance are the ones bashing Palin. They are tolerant of THEIR agenda; and basically that's it. When they say keep an open mind....they mean as long as you agree with THEM. I love Palin and I think she's a smart, sassy, and a great debater.

She sidesteps questions she doesn't like and plays up her strengths. This is something we all do.

I also find it VERY interesting that everyone is raking her over with a fine tooth comb and talking about her "lack of experience" as a VP candidate when she probably has more experience than the Democratic Presidential nominee. Just my opinion though.......Let's see how many hateful replies I can get from people who are "tolerant" of my views.

Watching Palin is excruciating for ME--a mother of two daughters and a citizen who values wisdom and judgment in her elected officials. It is not her lack of experience I decry, but her glaring lack of knowledge or even of intellectual curiosity, coupled with her blatant ambition and her inexplicable delusions of adequacy.

Well put.

Like ellamenta, watching Palin is excruciating for me...mother of one daughter who values the same in her elected officials...

She has the same qualities (actually lack thereof) as W...lack of knowledge etc.

I have no desire to have a penis and/or testicles because those who have them think with them rather than their brain.

Well, I was with you right up until you made the boneheaded, sexist remark.

I've spent a part of my life as a stay-at-home Mom, I'm a Christian, I have refused to act, speak or dress like a man to get ahead (or use my husband's position, or wink) and it's painful for me to watch Palin.

My daughter is the new breed - she is sure she can be a professor, lawyer, biochemist, neuro-surgeon - whatever - while having kids, wearing high heels and probably mini-skirts. She's not what I ever expected but I am amazed by her self-confidence, intelligence, beauty and self-awareness. I'm no afraid of women in mini-skirts - my daughter makes me happy because she is who she is.

Watching Sarah Palin is not painful because some people think she's attractive, or because of how she dresses or because she's a Mom, or because she says she's a Christian, or because she says she's pro-life (except for those little dead children in Iraq , who, I guess, weren't human). Watching Sarah Palin is painful because she lies without any restraint whatsoever (I was cleared on all ethical charges), because she is less qualified to be our next President than at least 100 qualified Republican women, because she butchers the English lanuage, because she is a hypocrite, because she is married to someone who wanted Alaska to secede from the union - and let this man read her executive files and emails and act as a representative of her government when he was not qualified and not elected - because she is a closet end-of-days fundamentalist, but does not have the moral compass to tell us who she really is or what she believes in - she is a stealth candidate. Watching Sarah Palin is painful because she is a liar who attacks Obama for serving on aboard with somebody who did bad things when Obama was 9 - while she hung around with violent Ruby-Ridge thugs and Timothy Mcveigh wannabees who truely are unAmerican domestic terrorists. Watching Sarah Palin is painful because she pretends to represent me and other small town American women, with a phoney accent (which she didn't have in the Alaska debates, but somehow came up with now), when she is not as informed or decent or intelligent or fair or honorable as the average small town, regular American woman she pretends to be. In case you didn't get this - here's another hint. Regular American women don't let themselves be annointed by witch-hunters who believe that Catholics are agents of Satan.

Ashbaby - Yep - it's true - lots of people, particularly teenagers side step questions they don't want to answer. You don't get to do that when you are a teenager in a debate - let alone a VP candidate. If she is going to be our VP, we deserve to know what she believes. That is what Sarah Palin and John McCain do not want us to know. That's why she has given almost no interviews. Suggesting that Biden and Sarah Palin have the same experience is just not the truth. Biden has been in congressional negotiations for at least 25 years - and has the scars to prove it. Sarah Palin could not even run the state of Alaska without help from her husband - whose main credentials seem to be that he owns a snowmobile company, stalked his ex-brother-in-law for the Governor of Alaska and belonged to a party that wanted Alaska to secede from the Union - by violence if necessary. Sarah Palin wanted women to pay for their own rape kits while she was mayor - at the same time she built a multi-million dollar ice arena. The "debunking" piece on this site has been proven to be false - there are City Council records tto prove it. Joe Biden sponsered a bill - with one of the most conservative Republicans in office - to do more to protect women from violence - sexual or domestic. Speaking the truth isn't hateful - it's simply the truth. John McCain made a mockery of the political process when he brought Sarah Palin into it. I think the joke is on him.
