When I look at or listen to Sarah Palin I hear Kirstie Alley in Drop Dead Gorgeous. The accent, the cutsie phrases, the lethal ambition...it is all there. Sarah is definitely capable of manipulating a situation to her benefit, we've already seen evidence of that. I wouldn't be surprised if she stole Obama's costume or blew up his tractor.

I thought the same thing about the Achilles heel reference. Her comments were obviously rehearsed ahead of time and plugged in even if there was no connection to the question. That little disclaimer she gave at the beginning went something like, 'I'm not here to answer your questions. I'm here to speak to the American people' gave her the out she needed to avoid responding to the questions. Did this reinforce her self-image as a maverick or blow up in her face like a 'nucular' explosion?
