Mohandas K. Gandi's list of 7 deadly sins
by Eljem
Gandi was born October 2, 1869. Yesterday was his birthday. Unbelievable irony in this. In order of severity:

Wealth without work

Pleasure without conscience

Knowledge without character

Business without morality

Science without humanity

Worship without sacrifice

Politics without principle

Science without humanity
What was Gandhi getting at with this one?

Science without regard to humanity is indeed a “deadly sin”. I read it the same as you may have at first glance: I was more focused on wealth without work…woohoo…I thought, that’s for me. But to extract wealth without earning it I can understand as a “deadly sin”.

My guess is that Gandhi is addressing the greater scientific community and saying that it is morally reprehensible to abdicate responsibility for certain scientific discoveries and their potential consequences for humanity. Imagine the moral dilemma that a scientist working on deadly viruses or weapons of mass destruction might face.

That's my guess, too, but I don't know enough about Gandhi to know if that's what he's talking about.

Hey mofo, I am not an expert on Ghandi either. I wish I could audit this class: <Ghandi's Way and Science>.

This from Wiki: Gandhi dedicated his life to the wider purpose of discovering truth, or Satya. He tried to achieve this by learning from his own mistakes and conducting experiments on himself. He called his autobiography The Story of My Experiments with Truth.

Gandhi stated that the most important battle to fight was overcoming his own demons, fears, and insecurities. Gandhi summarized his beliefs first when he said "God is Truth". He would later change this statement to "Truth is God". Thus, Satya (Truth) in Gandhi's philosophy is "God".

Some of those pinko fucks can say profound things, but usually it is just so they gain credence for their bullshit. MLK had a pretty mouth, too, but he wouldn't hesitate to break a woman's jaw if she did not want to suck his dick. I'm sure Ghandi was fucking little boys or something. Those pinkos just can't get power without lusting for a boy's butt, usually.

That is reprehensable Predicto. Did Mother Therisa suck cock and play with litle boys willy's! Huh

Mother Theresa wasn't a shit disturbing Marxist killer. She had no power. I'm sure she has washed her share of peckers and buttholes, though, I'm pretty certian it was all altruistic. Ever had a burning, itching butthole that you couldn't wash? Hey, I will tell you what, that is quite the favor.

Take it from me, I'm an assistant buttwiper myself. Someday, if I really study, they will let me wipe my very own butt.

"Someday, if I really study, they will let me wipe my very own butt."

I'm sure your current buttwiper is waiting in anticipation of that very day. For their sake and yours (I'm sorry, but I just don't believe anyone not attached to the butt in question can do an adequate job of it), may it come soon. You get your boil all healed up there, sweetie?

What is your obsession with butts? I don't think that Mother T did anything of the sort I was just giving you some of your own medicine. Gandi was a spirit that is not seen very often and if you do not like what he stood for that is one thing but to be so disrespectful of such a holy man is reprehensable. And sort your butt out man!
Hi, Happy is you ok

talking of butts how is your loo? I tryed mending mine again but it broke again, bugger, it is so expensive getting men to work for you! I never trust them, I am always scared that they will find something else or break something else. Have you been to Miami yet? How is cat and Ma?

Autumn Song

by Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1883)

Know’st thou not at the fall of the leaf
How the heart feels a languid grief
Laid on it for a covering,
And how sleep seems a goodly thing
In Autumn at the fall of the leaf?

And how the swift beat of the brain
Falters because it is in vain,
In Autumn at the fall of the leaf
Knowest thou not? and how the chief
Of joys seems—not to suffer pain?

Know’st thou not at the fall of the leaf
How the soul feels like a dried sheaf
Bound up at length for harvesting,
And how death seems a comely thing
In Autumn at the fall of the leaf?

My loo hasn't made a sound since I spoke of it, so I haven't done anything to it at all - don't fix it if it ain't (completely) broke. I went to Miami, it was a good trip. Mom and the cat got along splendidly, so it was pretty good all the way around.

I am ok for the most part, I guess. I got out of bed to clean the house and pay my bills today. I am back off to bed now, though, to go watch some kind of strange arty movie with one of thelyamhound's favourite actors (at least I think it is, if I remember correctly). I suppose I ought to get up and out of bed tomorrow...gotta get groceries and I should put the child (cat) safety lathches on the kitchen cabinets because I am getting mightily tired of stubbing my toe on the dishwasher detergent box that keeps the cat out currently...so, yeah, I'm ok. Yourself?
