As to affirmative action- it is absolutely true that affirmative action in academia hurts asian americans. The problem is not affirmative action- the problem is that asian americans don't get affirmative action where they need it. For example asians are underrepresented in media, entertainment, sports, business, board rooms, etc, etc. we are ghettoized in very small sectors of society. We can certainly use affirmative action in all those areas that I mentioned. The way to get there is through political power.
