The Democrat record on unemployment.

Just the facts.

  1. The last time the Democrats controlled both the House and Senate was in 1994 and the Unemployment Rate was 6/1% (in 1993 the rate was 6.9%)

2. In 1995 the rate dropped to 5.6% when the Republicans took control of the House

3. The Democrats took control of Congress in 2007 when the rate was below 5%

4. For two months in a row now, after 16 months plus of Democrat control of Congress the Unemployment Rate is back to 6.1%. Just like the Good Old Days when the Democrats last contolled our Congress.

And how about Deficit Spending and increases in the National Debt since the Dems took control of Congress....wow!!

Wow if you are a moron!

Didn't the GOP control the House in 1994??

The Bush economy and the regulatory bodies that watch it are more controlled by the Bush Administration policies than by a congress that has been in power for less than two years.

My money says you know this but are bent upon spereading disingeuous lies because the GOP has FUCKED UP our economy.

Note that Clinton created 22 million jobs and balanced the budget. What was Bush's record on that again?

How come Republican Administrations have increased the National debt more than Democratic ones??

your dates do reflect the inability of a Repug administration to guide an economy, except for the dates, you supplied, when a Democrat administration was in place...thanks for the info and Barack thanks you for your vote.

As for you and Clinton. He raised federal income taxes, increased the national debt by ~1.6 trillion dollars while scoffing and squandering some 638 billion dollars in Payroll tax suprlues that are needed right now to cover the current Medicare shortfall...in 2009 Medicare must go to the Trust Fund in order to meet 2009 expenses and there is nothing in the Trust Fund but things like Clinton's 638 billion dollars of IOUs Mr and Mr US Elderly in need of medical attention.

Meanwhile you, Bruce, sit fat dumb and in a stupor in LA LA Land once again on the verge of bankrupcy needing an "Emergeny 7 billion dollar bail up" and are now looking to the other 49 stated for a handout too.

Screw.

Democrat Party, Democrat Congress

Democrat majority.

Now speak to the fact that Democrat contolled Congresses in the last 18 years have had the highest unemployment rates including the years 1993, 1994 and 2008.

Do you suppose the fact that the Democrat majority's refusal to let us drill off shore and even on the continental US for crude oil and natural gas when crude spiked from 64 to 90 to 150 dollars a barral had anything to do with job losses in 2008 in the trucking, automotive and airline industries?

Medicare outgo is greater than income last year and this and Medicare must go to the Trust Fund in 2009 to pay your medical expenses...but there is no money in the Trust Fund, just things like Bill Clinton's IOUs for the 638 billion dollars in Payroll Tax suprluses he collected and squandered after he raised Federal Income Taxes on everyone,
