Sarah Palin doesn't care about America
by shreddedcoin
+4 Reply
She has made the election process a complete joke.

She doesn't care about duping the voting public.

She has no shame in ridiculing journalists who dare ask her questions.

She actually thinks style should trump substance.

She has dangerously outdated beliefs.

She thinks having a robot brain qualifies her for the Vice Presidency.

She mocks our founding fathers with every word she breaths.

Worst of all, she has corrupted the mind of my mother, who is an otherwise intelligent person.

One good thing, she has finally lit a fire under my ass.

I made the decision to finally go to law school and study Constitutional Law.

America can still be saved, and I want to be a part of the solution.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with the title of this post.

Granted, the debate last night made filled me with visceral disgut everytime she spoke in that irritating, PTA-Mom-speak of hers, but I seriously doubt that she "doesn't care about America" simply because she disagrees with us on many issues.

Again, I'm not going to defend her non-answers or the way in which she insinuates we "big city folk" are somehow lesser than her small-town pals...but she certainly doesn't harbor any lack of caring for this country.

Replace the "she" with "he" and you could be talking about Obama - the least accomplished man to run for President in >150 years.

1. Dupe the voting public? Check.

2. Mock the founding fathers? Check

3. Dangerous beliefs? Check

4. Ridicule people who ask questions? Check

5. Style over substance? Check.

Well, he hasn't corrupted my mother's mind, because my mother isn't an idiot, and I already was off my ass, but other than that it's a close comparrison.

Good luck at University of Phoenix.

Congrats on deciding to go to law school.

Try to go to school somewhere where you want to live, it'll help when you're looking for a job after graduation as you'll be better able to use the connections you make with professors/friends/internships etc. that you inevitably make while in school.

Make sure you get commercial outlines for all your 1st year classes (they're one of law school's dirty little secrets- everybody uses them)

Keep in mind that you're going there with the ultimate goal of getting a job (hopefully that you like), not just learning for learning's sake (as many of us did when we were undergrads).

Good Luck!

Best, tubbs

If she cares about America, why is she willing to make the election process a complete joke?

If she cares about America, why does she have no shame in duping the voting public?

If she cares about America, why does she ridicule journalists for asking questions people have a right to know?

If she cares about America, why does she think style points trump actual knowledge?

If she cares about America, why is she willing to subject the country to her dangerously outdated beliefs?

If she cares about America, why does She think having a robot brain qualifies her for the Vice Presidency?

If she cares about America, why does she mocks our founding fathers with every word she breaths?

The founding fathers believed in the wisdom of the people.

Why is she willing to spit on their graves?

Obama went to law school.

He taught Constitutional Law.

He understands how important that document is to our founding fathers' vision for America.

The main criteria one needs to lead a country is to understand that countries laws and why they were put into to place.

Obama saw that America was going down the tubes, so he decided to start talking about the hope for a better tomorrow.

His message resonated with some Americans.

As time went on, the number of Americans that understood what Obama was saying grew.

The support he has garnered in the four years he has been in the national spotlight is proof of his leadership capabilities.

Throughout the campaign he has maintained his poise, never lashing out at people with hatred.

He has never shown public signs of panic.

You might disagree with some of his policies, but he has shown the ability to lead and showcased the qualities that every American should strive for.

For those reasons, he is the ideal candidate for these troubled times.

Barry has never led on anything. He is a political coward, unwilling to take any action which may come back to bite him. He will only do what he has always done - act in a safe manner, be unwilling to stir the pot, be unwilling to break the eggs which will ultimately make the omlette, least he run the risk of offending the hen.

This bailout was a perfect example of Obama - he did nothing other than hang back and wait to see how events developed. (to be fair, Obama with his lack of experience had nothing to offer anyway).

As opposed to John McSame who suspended his campaign and threatened not to participate in the Presidential Debate. That was certainly helpful, wasn't it?

Augh. Saying that anyone who disagrees with you doesn't care about America is so . . . George Bush. I don't like Palin but she obviously truly thinks that her ideas (such as they are) are good for the country. Misguided, yes, but I don't think we need to go further than that.

As for law school, I respectfully disagree with tubbs. Commercial outlines suck. You also can go for the sake of learning but only if you have really thought through and chosen wisely about where you're going (for school and career wise), because the cost in terms of time and loans is high. Keep in mind that there are far fewer jobs practicing constitutional law than there are starry-eyed young aspiring lawyers who want them. I loved law school so I'm not trying to be discouraging, but I saw an awful lot of kids who didn't know what they were getting into. And I know even more lawyers who are working jobs they really don't like because they feel trapped by their loans.

I was going for shock value in the header so people would read my post.

I don't fault her for having the views she has, I fault her for the way she tries to hide her views and ideas from the American people so they can't make an informed decision.

The founding fathers trusted the wisdom of the people. I agree with this as well.

It's a slap in the face to see this campaign use smoke and mirrors to try and hide the real Sarah Palin.

This is a problem with politics in in general, but her presence this election has multiplied that by 1,776.

also, I appreciate your thoughts and advice on law school.

Thanks!

Yeah, I hear you on the deceit. This has been a particularly infuriating election on that point for me too. And good luck on the decision to go to law school, I hope that it turns out well! There are a lot of great things you can do after law school, although most schools will route your towards firm jobs, so I hope you find what will be good for you.

I forgot to say I do agree with Tubbs about trying to go to school in the area where you want to live after if you can. I say this as someone who disregarded that advice myself - it turned out fine, but it did make a difference.

he is the titular leader of the party now, and was asked to come off the trail by Bush and, originally, by Reid.

I noticed nobody asked barry to come off the trail...I guess he wasn't needed.

Dems asked McCain to come in an effort to ambush him, and for the most part it worked.
