Punish rich people. Inflate the economy. Punish rich people. Punish rich people. Inflate the economy. Inflate. Punish. Punish the economy.

"Inflate the economy. Inflate. Punish. Punish the economy."

Yes, that's precisely what the Bush administration and Repub party have done for the past eight years, resulting in the economic crisis we have now.

And they expect us to hand over 700B! to Paulson (ex CEO of Goldman Sachs) with no oversight so he can hand it over to all his buddies on Wall St.

Yeah, the Republicans are tanking our economy along with their chanced in the general.

I can not afford to run m blasted car. I'm from Louisiana. New wells won't go online in 7 years if we drill now.

And why doesn't Palin lift that tax in Alaska that's persuaded the oil companies to drill less THERE? Oh, then she wouldn't have $2,000 to give every resident.

It's going to take more than drilling to keep us from being vulnerable to hostile Russians et al on oil.

Someone didn't get the joke. Biden never used any of those phrases in his debating. I can always claim that Palin meant certain things in what she said too. But that wasn't the joke. The words I quoted were, sadly, words she actually used as her answer for virtually everything. Not surprised you didn't get it; as the last eight years have proven, Repubs are not terribly quick on the uptake.

It'll be much quicker if we can cut out the red tape. I've heard many oil rig workers saying that once they put down their rig they can have oil flowing in less than two months.

I did get the joke, interestingly underwhelming as the humor was, and then turned it around.

Raising taxes on the rich, introducing socialism, and instituting 'bottom up' economics will cause wild inflation and perhaps unemployment with it.

What is funny is that liberals forget the economy was moving along just fine until the last year or two when this whole sub-prime issue came about. They make it sound like there's been a crisis for eight years.
