Governors don't do foreign policy
by Ripley
It's not part of their job description. And how much foreign policy experience did Bill Clinton have when HE ran for President? A Veep's job is to follow the President's lead, even if the worst happens and the President dies in office. That's what Veeps do - like Johnson, who pushed and signed Kennedy's legislation. Knock if off already.

and usually the President appoints a person that goes by the title of Secretary of State that handles most of the foreign policy direction.

Guys like Kaplan just don't get it. The old Washington insiders and cocktail party crowd from Georgetown have totally effed up our governmental system and change is needed. They ought to throw out every damn one of the congressional hacks and put in some real people who will try to get something done other than simply try to get re-elected.

Why do you think a first term Senator who had less than 2 years experience when he announced his run beat out all the old time Dem's? Because he is so much smarter?

No, because he was seen as being outside the garbage that has gotten us into the mess we are. And that goes for both parties. They have all failed us.
