Isn't it a little sexist to say women are cringing at the possibility of Palin embarrasing the female sex by speaking inarticulately?

Weren't they also cringing at the possibility of a George W. gaffe causing embarrasment? As an American and a native English speaker, I was often in agony over the president's verbiage.

"Please, don't make a spectacle of yourself. String some coherent sentences together," is not a new thought to cross the minds of many women listening to the national dialogue. And it has nothing to do with the sex of the speaker.
