It's the Republican version of the "all Obama supporters only have cell phones" meme that was going around.

Polls suck either way.

Well, it's a lot stupider than the "polls don't call cell phones" meme because a) There *are* a lot of folks, especially in cities and among young people, without land lines b) Polls conduct surveys over the course of a whole day, with an emphasis on evening hours when they expect voters to be home. Polls don't suck, however, since give or take a few percentage points, they do present a fairly accurate picture of what the people think, and more importantly, trends in public opinion.

Does anyone realize that this year the polls are just BS. If they were right Obama would have won New Hampshire and Mcain never would not have won anything.

The one thing that normally happens is the Republicans normally do slight better than the polls show, as Republicans tend to vote more than Democrats.

So in a close race, like Bush 2000/2004, even though the polls showed him behind he was able to win.

Obama is not running on his agenda, I am not sure he has one, he is running at not being Bush. His complete focus is to say he is not Bush, never been Bush,and never will be Bush.

Funny thing is, he is not running against Bush, and Mr McCain is no Bush.

But the message has worked, and as Mr Obama degree is in speech, he is very effective in saying Bush in just about every single paragraph.

It is funny how a person is assumed to be intelligent if he can speak well or write well, but is more or less unable to do anything else.

Mrs Palin has more experience as executive than anybody running and is liked by 80 percent of the people that are in her state, but everybody says she does not know anything.

If she was a man, none of this would be happening, and if she was a man she would have been at the top of ticket, instead of the bottom.

I'm glad you and others notice these things about the "polls" but me personally I've voted in every election since I've been able to vote, for the first time in my life its not the lesser of two evils and I like both the candidates on the dems ticket and I've always made up my mind weeks, if not months in advance. As for the question of how many times I vote well I am from Chicago so..... Just kidding.

I wonder if you're still going to say that on January 20.

Of course, if you think Obama has a "socialist agenda", then it's likely that you don't know what socialism really is.

And I know you may find it hard to believe, but pollsters do tend to call people during hours when they're likely to be home. No pollster could even make a poll by only calling unemployed people.

Socialism is controlled capitalism. The gov't gets a big piece of the money made. How much money is depened on how liberal the gov't is. Extreme socialism is communism. Which is where all money made goes to the gov't and is distrubuted evenly to everybody. Moderate socialism is where gov't takes a big chunk of your $ in the form of heavy taxes and uses it for welfare programs such as healthcare, insurance, un-enployment etc. The people are still seperated by different economic classes but the differences are not as extreme. and income is a lot less than compared with true capitalist societys. healthcare and insurance are cheaper, but quality of life is reduced in order to distribute equal benefits to everyone. True capitalism is what we have here (or used to have here) no regulation, economic classes are more extreme, and their is no limit to how poor or rich one person can be. economic prosperity is everybodysindividual responsibility, and regulation is minimal or none.(what was once called the american dream)
