After seeing the Katie Couric
by Wahbooz
interview of Sarah Palin, I began to wonder. Who is Sarahs coach, Miss South Carolina, Caitlin Upton?
I can tell you one thing....

this is the best interview I've seen her do. I thought she did very well and she came across as confident and likable.

If she handles herself this well during the debate...Mr Biden is in trouble.

The problem was, eventho Katie even gave her a helping hand, she was all over the map on the question about the bailout. If she responds that way, in the debate with Biden, he'll eat her lunch.

When Tina Fey doesn't have to make up dialogue, and just take her word for word and it's funny, she's got problems. And no amount of time at McCains Phoenix home will help her.

Oops, I missed the bailout questions

and you're right, if she had a problem with those she's in deep doo doo with Biden.

Especially when Katie gave her hints and catch words. A 5th grader could have done better.
Did being ignorant ever hurt Dan Quayle?
by steelbucket

A heartbeat away from being the most powerful person in the world.

True, George Bush sr. didn't look like he slept in a coffin.

Do you think McCain can last 4 years?

Actually, it did hurt Quayle in the VP debate as I recall. It didn't hurt GHWB because, as you point out, he was hale and hearty and didn't look like he couldn't last out his term.

I would say that the odds for McSame lasting 4 years in that kind of stress are about 60:40. If I'm correct, that means that we would have a 40% chance of having a President Palin to deal with.

You were right on all counts, Soreloser. It sure did hurt Quayle, but Bush carried him anyway...

After watching that interview, I came away thinking that everyone sold KATIE far too short.
