A very interesting and....
by mrachmuth

....informative article. However, I do have one question: Why doesn't Gov. Palin talk like this now?

"In other words, she saw her ideological views as subordinate to her obligation to the rule of law. And unlike the legislature, she apparently saw no sense in creating further division when the only practical result would be more litigation and a heightened sense of division and offense."

Instead, what we get is attack dog diatribe. Gov. Palin's religion doesn't concern me. Her perceived desire that the laws to be applied to me must conform to her religious beliefs do concern me. The misstatments regarding her record, and her experience, disturb me. The appearance of an attitude that holding an office of authority allows that office holder to use that power and authority to punish personal opponents concerns me. That Gov. Palin, like some others, believe that the laws of substance and process don't apply to them, while they apply to me, concerns me.

Gov. Palin: Show me that I'm wrong to be concerned.

The facts regarding the so-called abuse of power reveal that Palin fired the individual in question for repeated acts of insubordination.

Wooten was found guilty by investigators of drinking in his patrol car and tasering his 10 year old son.

If Palin tried to get this guy fired, she was doing the public a service.

Exactly! Thank you!
If that were true, why....

....would the Republican dominated Alaskan legislature be continuing to investigate the matter?

Did you sing the they must be guilty if they are investigating song when Clintons were investigated?

This incident happened several years ago.

Clinton's investigated for what?
by mrachmuth

Gov. Palin is being investigated, by her own party's state legislators, for what could be an abuse of power. Was Whitewater, or even Monica Lewinsky, an abuse of power matter?

Oh, by the way: I wasn't then, and am not now, a Clinton fan. However, I think that the Republican investigations of the Clinton's is not the same as the Alaskan legislatures investigation of Gov. Palin, particularly since it is being done by her own Party members.
