We've learned McCain likes chaos?
by dolsen
What kind of crap reporting is this? Does Slate just go out and look for reporters who report nothing but their own liberal biased opinions? Since when is getting on your own personal soap box reporting? Where is the Fairness Doctrine? Where is the factual equal and balanced reporting? Slate is a ridiculous joke, and so is anyone who would consider voting for Obama the inexperienced clown organizer. Blacks will only vote for him because he's black, and what does that say? Should we prop him in front of the White House in a chair? He doesn't have to do or say anything, just sit there and look black, and they'd be happy I guess. Obama, the man of no ideas or strategies. Just more rhetoric of how the world should look. Ridiculous! He only votes "Present" in Washington, but just call him if you need him, oh ya, he'll be there in a hurry. Can't make a decision, but he'll be there. Useless!!!

Dolsen, your a dolt! The only vote for black is an old broken down war horse. People have been voting for people like themselves since the beginning of democracy, whether they are aware of the reasons or not.

Some Joe or Mary's will vote for McCain because he's...

white,

in their age group,

a man,

a vet

a Vietnam vet,

he's balding,

a Navy man

a cancer survivor,

a republican

looks like my Uncle Pete,

owns a french fry company (possibly an East Coast reference),

used to like Letterman,

owns 7 cars like me, oops a bit far fetched,

People have been voting for someone the perceive is "like them" since the beginning of time. It's human nature to pick your friends, your clubs and organizations and the people you date and marry in the same manner. We are a "group species" and we like things to be homogeneous for the most part. Why not mention the people who won't vote for Obama because he's black, plenty of them are out there.

If you only vote on one aspect of a candidate then you are a fool.

But if that one aspect draws you in and then succeeds in getting you involved, then that's good government.

yes, well unfortunately their are many more fools registering and casting a vote than those actually thoughtfully involved in the political process. So you think I'm a dolt huh? Did you even read what you wrote after that? You talk about people voting for someone who just physically looks like them as though that's okay and acceptable. Well you'll just have to excuse the rest of us who will stand up and point out how wrong that is. Just because it happens doesn't make it right, and every person like you, who will make excuses for it, just opens the door for it to continue. You must be a democrat. That's the thinking of a democrat. Who cares, la dee da, no rules, no values, no morals and definitely no laws to worry about. Everybody do what is easiest and everybody else just allow it. Don't put much real thinking or effort into anything and whatever will be, will be. Just like Obama, no time for planning, no time for solutions, just complain and do nothing. Show up to the job, smoke like a chimney, vote present and call it a day.

Dolt honey, I never said it was right, I just said it was part of human behavior to vote for, join a club, date someone similar to you etc. Haven't you ever heard the infamous poll question, "Which candidate would you like to have a beer with?" Simple sociology! Please re-read or get a cab.

Did you not read what I said about getting involved in government???

No, I'm not a democrat, it's worse, (insert cries and shrieks!) I'm a SOCIALIST (a verified member of my local chapter) I'm not crazy about Obama, but I have to vote. Here's more fodder for your canon/canon, ah, a pun! I'm a born New Yorker, a lesbian and a nurse for 26 years, who has done a lot more than show up at the job. Maybe you are ill bred enough to put down some of the above, but don't touch the nursing profession. Remember we are there when you take your first breath and sadly too often the only one there for your last.

You remain a dolt but I'd rather be a New York-pinko-dyke-who-wears-white-shoes-all year, than a dolt any day of the week!
