Sarah Palin

Great Suggestions! But maybe she should be more like Joe Biden. You know....talk about the great depression of 1929 when Franklin Roosevelt got on TV to talk to the American people. Good Lord Joe! Herbert Hoover maybe? TV not invented yet maybe? Or, when he asked the cripple in the wheelchair (Democrat Rally) to stand up and take a bow. That's smooth and oh so smart. He really showed his chops when he admitted Hillary was a better candidate.....let's see what else? Oh....yes, the part about not knowing Barry's platform on clean air/coal industry....we hate it! no more! Oops, what? Barry has committed $200 million to this industry? Uh huh...him some smart man.

Gaffes are made every day, by both sides. Dumb is dumb for ever.
Gaffes vs. gaffes
by spruce

You know, if you are going to roast someone for a gaffe, you should at least get your facts straight, yourself.

The stock market crash occurred in 1929. The Great Depression, followed and lasted throughout the thirties.

FDR was actually Governor of New York at the time of the stock market crash. It was the Governor of New York (i.e. Roosevelt), not the President (e.g. Hoover) that had the legal ability to curb the excesses of Wall Street. It was Roosevelt that was dealing directly with Wall Street during the crash. He was the Governor of the most populous, the state that was the home of Wall Street.

When FDR was elected President in 1932, the Great Depression was at its worst. In his inaugural address, he made one of the most famous comments in U.S. history, "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself."

So, Biden did slip-up but it was not nearly as damning as people say. For instance, his mention of television was questionable.

However, you again make a mistake there. The modern television was invented in the 1920s, before the stock market crash. Variations of the modern television were first publiclly demonstrated in 1927, by the likes of Milo Farnsworth, Herbert Ives, and John Logie Baird--so a good two years before the stock market crash.

Good ONE!

Maybe it should change its moniker to "MuchSmarterThanWho?"
