I enjoyed your writing until I understood what happens to your dogs when you're done with them.

For those of you who love dogs, please, check out some of the Amazon customer reviews of "A Good Dog" and "A Dog Year" before spending any money on this man's books.

I mean that he had his vet kill his "beloved" labs at the first signs of illness.

I mean that, after writing about Devon/Orson as his "soul mate," he had him killed as well.

Indeed, his treatment of Devon/Orson while still alive was at times beyond appalling. Yelling at him until he was hoarse? Picking him up and throwing him as far as he could out of anger?

This is not a man who loves dogs. This is a man who makes good money writing about his dogs, then discards them when he's done with them. I'm absolutely sick that I ever paid money for any of his books.
