Do Republicans think blaming dems will work?

That's what they do. They certainly can't blame their president or McCain for anything bad that happens in the country, could they?

9/11, the Iraq war, Hurrican Katrina and now this financial crisis.

Who is at fault? Easy question. Bush and his buddies.

the public knows better

Their Fault

Sometimes the people get it.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation Poll suggests that by a 2-to-1 margin, Americans blame Republicans over Democrats for the financial crisis that has swept across the country the past few weeks — one factor that may have contributed to an apparent increase in Barack Obama’s edge over John McCain in the race for the White House.

In the new survey, released Monday afternoon, 47 percent of registered voters questioned say Republicans are more responsible for the problems currently facing financial institutions and the stock market, with 24 percent saying Democrats are more responsible. One in five of those polled blame both parties equally, and 8 percent say neither party is to blame. ---Atrios

I think you forgot global warming, loss of constitutional freedoms, and politics of division.

Thank you, Mr. Bush; thank you for being the worst president in American history, and in the top 5 of all-time worst world leaders.

Thanks for reminding me. The Bush nightmare is almost over, but it will take generations to recover from it.

controlling the Congress, 7+ years controlling the WH....and the last 2 years filibustering more then any other Congress in History...AND dragging the Economy back to 1929.....and NOW they are going to try to NOT be Republican's...try to once again blame the Democrats...for their trickle down economics, huge government and borrow and spend economic policies...it's ALL Democrat's fault!! IT's an amazing pile of crap!

What may be at play are still deep divisions in American society....These criminals keep doing what they do because we never seem to send them a decisive, hard hitting, landslide like defeat that would send a strong message of disapproval.

And it's so encouraging to know.......

that at least 20% of our citizens have more than a room temp IQ.

But,you know Julie, those numbers are still disappointing.

That wouldn't be the same 20% that took us to war in Iraq on the basis of falsehoods would it?
Or significant prison time...

One would think THAT might have some effect.

No......

it's the 20% that understands this didn't happen overnite, that there was a specific reason for the Gramm bill being passed, that no attempt to veto it was made by Clinton, that no one in Congress went into that decision knowing or believing it would deteriorate into the current mess, and that when alarm bells were sounded by several sources, neither the Dems or Pubs paid any attention.

The signing of the bill was not the problem. It was the lack of attention to the warning signs and alarm bells by both parties that made this much worse than it might have been.

And the 20 %ers don't have any particular party label stuck on their chest.
