FEAR FACTOR could Mean Repuke Victory in November
by Loree

the Republicans love using the 'fear factor' to control the citizens of this country...much as Hitler used the same method for taking over Germany.

With this election appearing to be an extremely tight one, and quite possibly uneasy with putting their eggs all in the Diebold basket, plan A, it doesn't hurt to have a plan B at the ready, just in case it becomes necessary to not even WAIT for plan A to kick in.

Newsmax.com has opened the door to the rumor mill, to let 'fear' escape, and start doing the dirty work that could change the direction the wind has been blowing for the upcoming election.

With the recent terrorist activity in Yemen and Pakistan, the timing couldn't be better.

All of those detention camps could fill up in a hurry, and with all the taxpayer money flowing in for the bailout, no oversight nor accountability could mean that some (a huge 'sum' if you will) could be diverted in a whole new direction.

I doubt the taxpayers of this country would be willing just to 'donate' for the upkeep of their fellow citizens, and those would certainly require money for upkeep and personnel.

This could be the big October surprise....we'll see.

IMHO, the fracus of Yemen is the last thing voters are going to be thinking about. Their focus now is firmly fixed on the economy and the financial problems we face.

Obama has been the one who's come out with a calm, reasoned approach to the financial crisis while McCain has been fli-flopping all over the place. First he's against something and then he's for it. Don't forget "The economy is fundamentally sound." You're going to be hearing that over and over. Along with that one, McCain and his top advisor (Gramm) have a long record as opponents of any regulation.......until now.

I still don't think the election is as tight as polls indicate for reasons we've already discussed.

I'm thinking that continuation of the Bush agenda, via McCain, would no doubt render our country unrecognizable!

Wonder if anyone who supports McCain, has honestly asked themselves, what America will look like with four MORE years of the same crap? I doubt it.

I've learned to never say 'never'...about anything, especially when there are Republicans involved.

Of course attention is riveted firmly on the financial daily happenings...Americans are notorious for not being 'multi-thinkers'...it's one thing at a time, which is perfect for something else to sneak in and happen while their attention is diverted.

Remember the reports that the CIA and the FBI had warnings about the hijackers prior to 911, but those weren't given as much scruitny as they should have been.

The problem with Americans is that one thing can focus ALL of their thought and energy in a single direction, until finally something ELSE happens.

I'm confident that Obama can win, but if the Republicans dig deep enough into their bag of dirty tricks, that isn't set in concrete.

The old saying, I'll believe it when I SEE it' is a pretty wise application for most things. It's also good for being caught off guard and being bitterly disappointed.

What do you want to bet that the Hillary supporters felt the very same way....there was NO question in their minds, but that she would win the nomination! Yet the young upstart shocked the party, and caused it to fracture.

I want to be prepared for the worst, and celebrate the best:-) That way, I can survive, maybe:-)

Planes in the air, innocent lives taken to "save" lives
by KnotaFrayed

We taught them ------ a lesson

To some, it IS OK to take innocent lives to "save" lives

They must learn, they must pay!

Can evil deeds really destroy evil, or do they merely perpetuate evil? When we do unto others as they have done unto us, are we turning as evil as they or are we proposing they be less evil than we? Must we be evil, to be "good"?

With respect and love to the dead, many of whom were friends, while in the process of taking the lives of others, believing they were doing "right" and those who lost their lives both at the hands of those believing they were doing "right".

How many MORE lives are going to be lost under the guise of "saving" lives?

Put the "squeeze" on from all sides, and seize power in the midst of the chaos. Are we ready fro Martial Law?

I applaud Obama's strategy, but I'm also with Loree on this one, we should not underestimate the deviousness of neocons, which may also mean opening up a third war in Iraq.

Remember McCain's little song? "Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iraq!"

I could see some neocons pushing that button to influence the election.
