I've learned to never say 'never'...about anything, especially when there are Republicans involved.
Of course attention is riveted firmly on the financial daily happenings...Americans are notorious for not being 'multi-thinkers'...it's one thing at a time, which is perfect for something else to sneak in and happen while their attention is diverted.
Remember the reports that the CIA and the FBI had warnings about the hijackers prior to 911, but those weren't given as much scruitny as they should have been.
The problem with Americans is that one thing can focus ALL of their thought and energy in a single direction, until finally something ELSE happens.
I'm confident that Obama can win, but if the Republicans dig deep enough into their bag of dirty tricks, that isn't set in concrete.
The old saying, I'll believe it when I SEE it' is a pretty wise application for most things. It's also good for being caught off guard and being bitterly disappointed.
What do you want to bet that the Hillary supporters felt the very same way....there was NO question in their minds, but that she would win the nomination! Yet the young upstart shocked the party, and caused it to fracture.
I want to be prepared for the worst, and celebrate the best:-) That way, I can survive, maybe:-)
