Fighting the Fascists and Bigots
by viewpoint
The corporate fascists are fighting fiercely on all fronts in case they can't steal the election.

This is a time for a unified, monumental push to defeat them once and for all.

And deal a huge blow to racist bigotry at the same time.

I thought, according to Obama's speech when he decided to respond to the Rev. Wright situation (back in April, I think?), that this election was not to be about race...why bring it up now? None on the right is even mentioning it...

Not all people running corporations are fascists. But there are some, and they seem to have gathered in the Republican party. And they are a threat to democracy and the well-being of the country as a whole.

Racism is not being used blatantly, but it is being used in the undercurrents. And it undermines the health of the society.

According to the recently released AP poll "The poll of white Democrats found that one-third of them harbor "negative views toward blacks," and suggests that a percentage of voters may turn away from Obama because of his race."

Please point out that the Democrats seem to have a far worse problem with racism the next time you post Che.

Yep those DEM'S are all bigots. So harboring a negative view makes you a bigot. Yet Obama won big in mostly white states. Talk about coming to an idiotic conclusion.

I would love to see what the poll asked. What exactly does it mean by having a negative view. Does it mean that I will be negative about a black person even after I know them, or when I meet them. Or is it somehow generic.

Or does it relate to issues that could lead to a negative view. The statistics show that Blacks have are arrested and jailed more, are more likely to have children out of wedlock, children are less likely to have an active father in their life. I think these are all negative conditions and so if I think having children out of wedlock is bad would I be racist if I thought the level at which this is happening in the black community is a bad thing. Seems to me if you think it is, then there are at least a few black people who are also racists.

There is racial bias in this country and it is a fact in all races. Raising it as an issue like this is only trying to make a minor issue seem like the elephant in the room. The voting during the primaries and the polls so far just do not support their inflammatory claims.

I worked the Obama phone bank last night and ran into a lot of the right on the phone who were blatant racists! So why should McCain say anything when it seems to be working in his favor. He should feel bad that he has their vote!

And as you can see, the weed hopping lobotomy-club is working overtime. That's how scared they are.

I wonder how many old man hating people the McCain phone bank people get. I am sure that if they contact the AA community that they are greeted and treated cordially.

There is a lot of hatred going on in this race. Seems the real winner is reality TV which glorifies this type of behavior.
