Thank you for recognizing that this is a racial slur. Many people don't know because it is so outdated (like Hitchens). I was astonished when I read it. I had to re-read it three times to believe somebody was racist and stupid enough to actually write that in a public forum.

I've got a master's degree in German and in my undergraduate degree I completed a double major in English literature and a double major in German literature. I don't think Hitchins has a second language but even if he did he would still be a racist hypocrite and an apologist for two illegal wars. England is a very racist country and the higher up the food chain you go the worse it gets, so he learned it young. A moonbat is someone who upsets you by pointing out unpleasant facts you don't want to think about. Fifty times smarter is over the top, you might have got away with twice as smart but that's not true either. I don't hate Hitchens and he has a good mind but he uses it to support and finesse evil and I find that despicable.

That you rattle off your academic credentials is a sign of severe insecurity; I know some pretty dumb people with master's degrees, so you may want to tone down your pride.
