Flexitarian power

Vegan, vegetarian, flexitarian. I'm macrobiotic, no meat, dairy or honey for me but I eat a little fish. Does it matter!. Let's talk about the future The average American eats about nine ounces of meat per day, almost four times the government recommended intake for protein. In fact, we eat about 217 pounds per person per year. If everybody in the world ate that much meat we could support just 2.6 billion people or less than 40% of the existing population.

It take 20 lbs of grain to produce a single pound of beef. As developing countries adopt the western diet and eat more meat a shortage of grain is inevitable. We can feed more people on a flexitarian diet and even more on a vegan diet so let's eat less meat, less dairy, less honey and work together for change. If we work together to combat global warming and get rid of pesticides I think we will have plenty of delighted honey bees.
