youthful opinions...
by kmlglm07
i'm a middle aged white Obama supporter. I see descrimination going both ways every single day when I leave my house and go to work. However, my children do not yet see it, and while i do point it out, i hope that they continue to be blind to it. It is our best hope that our children never recognize it. My 19 yo college age, honors student son thinks nothing of the fact that a woman and an African-American are both running for this office. He grins bemused when "old" people like us talk about significance, but he tells me to understands historically but that personally his perspective includes no excitement over this. i wonder how much is ignorance and how much is because he has seen women and blacks in influential positions in his own life. May all our children see this and also be nonplussed.

You're an incoherent mess. If you don't want them to notice it, then why do you point it out? What's wrong with you?
