Canadian Conservative Tidbit
by Camille Claudel

you won't be reading in the papers.

They just tried to place their ads on CTV with the condition that the show they advertise on couldn't promote in any way homosexuals, and can't include implied homosexuality - like (and this was the example they gave) showing men as hairdressers.

The homosexuality fear sadly doesn't surprise me. But that the paranoia is great enough to be concerned about television hairdressers - that's impressive.

lunatic fringe but I agree that it's disappointing that this level of idiocy apparently wasn't squashed by the party's leadership! At the very least it should be denounced in retrospect.

Well, for me personally, I'd rather live next door to queers than I would Democrats.

because it's a secret. CTV sales employees don't want it known that they leak information.

it's time to nuke alberta (plus a border city or two). if we had nukes, and except that i have a bro living their (he's in the woods, but still ..), and those cuddly bears and all. too bad the interim guy didn't want to stay on, make them run against him, that would have been precious (and historic?).

clients.

But they do talk amongst themselves. Alberta isn't the problem. It's Alberta creep - the spillover - that makes nuking Alberta an idea worth considering. Maybe they've developed the neutron bomb equivalent that leaves the buildings and bears (and mountain sheep, elk, moose) still standing and just kills the people..... It would stop the spillover. Nutbars in Alberta, loons in BC, delusionals in Quebec - makes you wonder about confedration.
