I dont't get it boys and girls.

There are several posters on this board who accuse a lot of persons on here of being Communists or Socialists. They seem to still be in the fear of when Russia and Communism was going to devour us Americans.

Let's take a little walk down memory lane.

If my memory serves me correctly when the Champion of Conservatisim and the Free Market System, R, Reagan was fond of saying that Government should stay out of business and the free enterprise system would handle all things quite nicely. He advocated and got deregulation of the energy industry and proclaimed if prices were allowed to rise and fal naturally, and energy producers would find and exploit energy reserves and prices would come down. Now I can just here some here ploclaiming that Congress has not allowed the energy industry to drill in certainareas. Well recently I heard that the energy industry has thousands of acres of land leased but they aren't drilling on that land. They want sensitive areas instead. My thoughts,,,why the hell did they buy leases on this land and then no drill? Can you imagine these sophisticated oil producers with all the technology they have available to them buying up leases if they thought there was no oil there? Is our energy situation any better years after this happening? Are we anymore energy secure?

Remember when the Savinga and Loans was de-regulated? What happened? Millions of dollars of tax payer money was needed to bail out these S&L's. Huh?

Now we have this disaster. It is reported that hundreds of billions of taxpayer moneys would be needed to bail out mortgage lenders, finiancial institutions, etc.

Tell me where does the good 'ole free enterprise system, the capitalistic system leave off and socialism start?

We arer putting a tremendous burden on future generations because they must not only pay for a expensive unpopular war but bail out the very persons who created the problem in the first place because the Conservatives dreamed up this mess.

The way it looks to me everyone should routinely carry a jar of Vaseline with them at all times. If you are going to be ass fucked try to make it as painless as possible.

A possible solution:- Give the rich another tax break so they can devise more ways to fleece the average American.

Good old American greed, working at full tilt. Well I am retired and I pay no income taxes, but I have children and grandchildren who will pay for this shit for years and years. When the average American starts dragging your ass out of your home, you might wish you were anything but a religious conservative.

I also don't expect you to admit that it is the Democrats who are primarily responsible for this pile of shit, and the ones who benefitted the most from the abuses.
