GOVERNOR'S RACE: Gas line leaves no room to talk on other hot issues.

Palin doesn't support legalizing marijuana, worrying about the message it would send to her four kids. But when it comes to cracking down on drugs, she says methamphetamines are the greater threat and should have a higher priority.

Palin said she has smoked marijuana -- remember, it was legal under state law, she said, even if illegal under U.S. law -- but says she didn't like it and doesn't smoke it now.

"I can't claim a Bill Clinton and say that I never inhaled."

she now claims

that she supports that meth lab in her neighbor's garage.

In this one instance I have to agree with Palin. I don't really care if she smoked pot in her youth or whenever. She fessed up to it and that is alright with me.

Alcohol is much worse in my opinion and is widely abused.

So in this case I'll give her a pass.

All that would do is increase her popularity.

Almost everybody under 60 has either smoked pot or been around it. Almost everybody will forgive others who did stupid things in the younger years because everybody makes stupid decisions when they are young.

Yeah...it's an unecessary reach to harp on her smoking pot.

Now then...if she'd claimed that she HADN'T ever smoked pot...that would've been gold!
That makes her a narcotics expert.

I'm surprised that Cranky McGeezer hasn't used this information to further inflate the empty skirt's resume'.

I am an Evangelical Fundamentalist and I see nothing immoral with smoking small amounts of pot, drinking small amounts of alcohol, drinking coffee or other such things. It is addiction which becomes Sin. Addicts usually put their addiction above all else.

Re: So what?

It should be legal for adults.

I am an athiest and feel the same way. Even th bible says that drinking alcohol is not a sin, it is drunkeness that is the sin.
On the other hand...Who can forget all those "hardhats"*

who brayed that they couldn't vote for that "pot smokin' draft-dodger", Bill Clinton! I guess we can thank our George, for putting THOSE angles to rest!

*Well, they're the same people who were the Nixon "hardhats" back in the Vietnam!

I am not part of a monolithic group. Obama is an Evangelical Fundamentalist and I do not agree with him on most issues. (See the Chicago church's website if you do not believe me. )
