Republicans think their opponents are wrong and we realize the potential for wrong and mistakes in everyone. Libs think they are angels and their opponents are monsters of evil or else really stupid. You can't be very funny about that. America is flawed, says the lib, with a deadly serious tone, as if no one else was flawed. Libs really think that they have the answers, that they should rule like stalin ruled, except this time it will be better, they will just give orders and everyone will fall into line. They think politics and government are the solution. If you really think like that and you hate everyone who is not like you, you can't be funny.

What makes the liberal faction of our government funny is that they don't get that Ronald Reagan joke: "I'm from the Federal Government and I'm here to help." The average citizen gets the joke because it's in essence a cruelty joke. Too many Democrats hear that and interpret it as Ronald Reagan being out of touch. That's the real punch line...
