Minority governments are democracide

I won't Godwin my own thread by pointing out the most obvious historical example of this principle. This sentence shows a serious lack of understanding:

Italians and Israelis may have learned how to function under minority governments....

The last time the words "functioning" and "Italian" and "government" had been used in the same sentence was during Marcus Aurelius' rule. And the only reason the same isn't true of the Israelis is their constant state of war with those pesky Palestinians. Neither is an apt comparison to America's Hat. The Canadians will pull through this -- they are educated and wealthy, relatively speaking. This combination rarely produces extremists of the non-turban-wearing kind. Therein lies the real danger. If Canada allows party quibbling and hotbutton social issues to overshadow the threat of Islamic extremism in the national consciousness, the consequences will be disastrous.

No offense man but your reply here displays a lack of udnerstanding of Canada as bad as the articles

Islamic extremism isn't even an ISSUE to Canadians. Our issues are stuff like health care, education taxes etc. not "what a buncha wackos out in the desert want to do"

I know it's a big issue with some in the US so it seems odd for America's closest neighbor not to care much about it but... thats the truth.

Canadians would rather the government quietly watch the borders and have the politicans FOCUS on the real issues.

I mean let's face it... every politican wants to protect his countrymen when and where he can.

Islamic extremism isn't an issue for America's Hat because America is kindly fighting that battle for you. In 20 year's time, the Call to Prayer will be audible in every large Canadian city.
